What do you get if you cross SC ITK and Pochettino quotes, a Daily Telegraph article apparently
and three new threads!

As for Zaha, not keen personally. Expensive, indispensable to Palace, 25 and still quite raw (although better this season).

9 goals and 3 assists in 29 league appearances this season is not too shabby.

If we're going for another attacking player, Martial would obviously be my 1st choice but I just can't see Man U seeing him to us. Zaha as a fallback option therefore makes sense.

Not my money, so I'll be happy to see him at the new Lane if Pochettino thinks he's what we need. Honestly, I believe the manager has made very good players look brilliant and average players look very good. Mainly due to the work and team ethic, the players trust him and more importantly respect him as a man.

Pochettino has earnt the gamble and I hope Joe and Dan take the punt, worst case is he leaves and we go another 10 years before getting a good manager and fall back to mediocrity

Maybe on the back of this, but I think today he’s been quoted as saying he has no reason to leave Palace this summer.

Getting Zaha will be a big coup even if he cost 60 or 70m in this crazy market. His sheer pace & power is lacking at the moment for us. While is Sonny has the pace & guile, often he gets muscled off the ball. Zaha commits every defender ahead of him and has shown to show no fear to take people on. Zaha is attimes seen as a moaner and a bit of diver. But the sheer number of penalties and set pieces he wins is a boon to any team.

In the event, Kane is out injured, Zaha could also play upfront with Sonny or Dele like he has been doing with Andros this season.

His value to Palace is huge, didn't they loose every game while he was injured, so I can see the price tag being ridiculously high. Unless they have some sort of gentleman's agreement negotiated at his last contract.
Would take big wages too & no messing around after previous attempts (according to ITK).

All in all may as well just go for Bale lol.

He’s a good player but good enough for our level? Decidedly not. If we were a top 6-8 club, it would be a different story. But we aren’t anymore. We are now a top 3 club with a shot at the title. We are above his level. We are talking our level type of money for at most, an everton level player. Hard pass. If we’re going to spend that type of money, might as well spend it on someone good enough.

Him and Lofthus-Cheek has been one of Palace's best players this season. Imo Zaha has become more agile, stronger and developed mentally. Would fit nicely in

Do you actually watch him play? This view made sense a couple of seasons ago but he's improved massively since then and regularly rips teams apart, and his end product has gotten a lot better as well.

Every time I watch him play he goes through periods where he plays well, but then periods where he is just lazy - both in tracking back, and in attack. I don't think he is consistent enough for the money he will cost, and the wages he will demand - he is already on £120K/week at Palace.

Notice how Palace's form dipped without him in the side, whereas it drastically improved with him in it. My worry is how will he adapt to having to play against bus parkers week in week out as opposed to teams who open up more.

didn't he declare he was staying this morning? pretty certain i saw comments from a palace website with quotes from him saying he feels at home and has no plans to leave his 'home' it's on the evening standard website.

Just the usual stuff players say when no move is close. Couple of weeks ago he said he would like to try it at a big club again.

I think he was simply saying that he's staying unless someone comes in with an offer CP considers acceptable, although I think our chances are limited, because it seems MCity are also interested. Just have to hope if he's goes he wants to stay in London.

Sounds like Deli Ali although he's not on £120 K
