Not sure what's gone on to make Herc so doubtful, but if Zaha has come out publicly and said he wants to move on, wouldn't that damage Palace's stance? Surely they won't want an unsettled player on their books, so may look to refresh the squad, and quickly. Fingers crossed for a Sissoko & cash deal for Zaha.

Perhaps Palace won't even listen to us? Maybe we pissed them off in the past. I thought we had done that to Zaha but if he wants us then that suggests he is over it. And we'd need to put an earth-shattering bid on the table for them to even contemplate it.

In terms of last season, where we looked quite pedestrian at times and devoid of ideas - would that have been in any way addressed by a player of Zaha 's capability or is that not the answer? Genuine question, not arguing with your opinion.

to be fair how often will he get the room he gets to attack playing for Palace. he would make a great sub when we are 3-0 up providing the team we are playing don't still sit back and protect the score. only other downside is he doesn't get penalties because of his reputation

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Oh for sure but imagine the stick if one of our ex players was giving advice like that to Kane!

you mean about the penalties?

what I mean is even when he gets fouled refs book him for diving.

he definitely won't take us up a level. he doesn't get enough goals, and that's against teams that play open football v Palace. great having speed and tricky feet, but not much use running at his speed into the brick walls 16 teams set up against us

This. We need guile in CM. And moving the ball quickly. That's what will help us break down teams that park the bus. Not a winger.

Guile himself would also be an acceptable signing.

My conclusion is Palace are asking for far too much money for him.
For sure. I mean, going by Richarlison, Zaha is worth 70m. But truth is neither are worth as much as their clubs want/have got.

He wants London & us! Not sure it can happen, so I call it unlikely
Only reason why I believe DL might push this through... Poch has wanted Zaha for over 2 years. I’m thinking with the new stadium,
Poch new contract, maybe DL will push the boat out for Poch. Zaha’s agent also loves Poch so he’s in our favour...
