Now I can see why Breezer started using smileys...

This is an interesting turn of events, if true. To our knowledge, he's always been pretty loyal and played ball with Palace's stance in recent windows. Handing in a transfer request would certainly put pressure on the club.

I argued this yesterday and most disagreed when I said Moura is not better than him.

Why?

Well Moura is an incredible dribbler, quick and adds a lot of variance to our attack but one aspect of his game that worries me is his finishing and whilst he's not as bad as Sterling, he doesn't generate a lot of power behind his shots and doesn't really scoring any goals from nothing. I see Moura as a player who will give Kane etc more chances and this is a great thing.

However, Zaha can do pretty much everything Moura can to great effect, except his finishing, power and striking from distance is much better.

Also, imagine Moura AND Zaha in the same team. That would rival Liverpool's attack in terms of having to deal with movement, trickery and pace. Defender's nightmare. We need to get this one done.

I lived in Brazil where he was hyped up and they showed plenty of him at PSG. So yeah, I have watched plenty of him.

Before this turns into a situation where people think I don't rate him, then let me tell you I do, I just think Zaha has more end product.

Also, don't make assumptions of what people have and haven't seen.

Best to ignore the 'you have a different opinion to me, therefore you are wrong and cant watch/know anything about football' crew.

I'm sure that I've asked this before, but does a formal written transfer request really mean anything more than if his agent were to just tell the club he wants to move?

Well, here we are. Here. We. Are. Deja vu, all over again. Another transfer window; another testicles-flapping-in-the-wind Zaha foray. By now it's as regular and inevitable as a goddamn solstice. I eagerly await the next zillion instalments. Circa 2038, Palace will be flogging him off for a loaf of bread and we'll be cunningly offering a burnt piece of toast with a smear of fucking marmalade. Which, to the surprise of goddamn no one, will not get the job done.

The only thing that is gonna stop this never-ending cycle is Zaha dying, or Putin feeling his oats and Novichoking London en masse with several thousand phials of the stuff delivered via jet-powered spatula.

It would be a mercy.

Where on earth have the standard said that? They published an article an hour ago about Zaha and included us as an interested party, so...?
There isn't anything (I could find) on the twitter feed about that supposed piece of news.

Good news is, we have just signed a player who is 4 months older than Zaha, plays the same position and role, and has proven far more in his career for the next 5 seasons.

If Zaha is worth £60/70m then Son is in the £100millions.

Call me crazy but I can't envisage us spending £70m on Zaha. Not sure I can even see us spending £60m on him. I'd be astonished if we buy a player for more than £50m this summer and that isn't near enough to make Palace accept a bid.

Not that I disagree with you on the figures mentioned, but the teams linked all bar Chelsea won' be paying £70 mill either, and if it is true that he wants out, while Palace can ask for what they want, if they do cave to letting him go their price will have to come down as well, it's a two way street.
