We all got onions but to me he was a very promising AM that then stagnated then got into playing time and contract disputes which everyone moved past and then he refound some form in a more reserved CM/DM role which reignited contract disputes and thus he did not resign and left the club. I don't see him or Kouyate replacing Zaha, nor any of their other signings. Both are CM depth and good options to possibly replace Loftus-Cheek and Cabaye.

Ings would be, Zaha plays up front for them now.

Ayew can play wide or up front.

Those plus the two bought recently would make sense as Zaha replacements.

On paper that sounds like a good signing, but it's £53m over the course of a 5 year contract, and a squad that's gunna be mighty naffed off that one individual is earning 5 times their wage..........especially if he flops!
yeah but if they can potentially sell him after 2 or 3 years for 30-35 mil probably more if prices keep going insane so it's defo worth a punt for them

I said when we got the news from pablo that it was our deal to lose and there would be pitchforks if we did. Well looks like we have spunked in our hands. Still a week to go and a lot can change.
