 oh really? So what is this then?

Burned. Well played Pringle.

Less of the member abuse chaps.

The only member abuse I want to be reporting involves me, a tub of vaseline and a picture of Edin Dzeko in a Spurs shirt.

Gallas has and always will be a nasty piece of work.

Harry has made a major error going for this has-been,bad-egg,psycho turd.

it will all end in tears at our expense.

lets hope it doesnt happen...it makes my blood fucking boil.

lets hope the medical goes like this.

' sorry gallas me old china ..you have failed'

' but why? im er.. want er ..to play for the totinham.. to wind up the gooners and chavs who i SUDDENLY hate.. and for lots of cash'

' but sorry william ..you have a rare diagnosis'

'wat is this you barstard doctor?'

'your a complete and utter **** gallas ..now fuck off!'

Sorry to piss on your cornflakes, but putting rivalry aside for one second - if he's good enough to captain Arsenal, then he's sure as hell good enough to play for Tottenham Hotspur.

As for would I have had Sol Campbell back - at one stage yes I would, when he was still on top of his game. I don't have to like him as a person to recognise that he can do good things for our football club. I'd take Berbatov and Carrick back in a heartbeat too.

It'd take a while to forgive Campbell or Berbatov, but I'd do it, provided their play justified it, just like I forgave George Graham for being ex-Goon scum when he won us a trophy. That said - Gallas hasn't exactly ever betrayed Tottenham like those two did, has he?

In fact other than play well and win things with our rivals and score a decent goal against us, what's he done that horrifies you so?

I don't care whether or not Gallas is a nice bloke - being a knobhead is one of his strengths. I'm certain he can strengthen our back four, and I'm sure he's very good to his mother.

Nobody's asking you to go out drinking with him are they?

Super post, i absolutely agree with everything you wrote theremate. I think this is a great signing for us. I dont give a monkeys who he played for before us. IF miracles happened and Fabregas joined us, nobody would have any objections. Well not the sane ones anyway. All good.

I would object if Fabregas was 33 and had just put in his worst season's performance.

We hardly signed Naybet or Davids at the top of their game though did we? We signed them to give us some much needed experience. We now need experience if we are to take another step forward so why not Gallas? A guy who is a proven winner and has played at the very highest level. I dont think anyone is expecting him to start ahead of King and Dawson when everyone is fit - however he is great back up to have for when King cant play.

I am definately pro Gallas.

I really don't understand why some people can't accept that others simply don't like the bloke? He's not the most endearing fellow is he?

It's got FUCK ALL to do with who he's played for, so people jumping in and assuming that is just lazy, lazy posting.

when we bought the 2 you mention, we were not in the same position as we are now.top 4 , on the verge of group stages of the champs league.

we are a team being talked about as possible title contenders,we are a team that has finally started to produce, the likes of naybet and a washed up davids , are of no use to , just as a washed up turd like gallas.
i thought we were going for the next level, not has beens with attitudes.

Spot on - but as we found out on Tuesday, without King we dont have the nerves or the bottle just yet. The players needed a leader out there and we didnt have 1! Gallas can help give us that IMO.

Davids was hardly a role model for all was he? Drug user, aledgedly the problem in in the Dutch camp the time it all kicked off and had a hard rep on the pitch. I think people just don't like him because of his connections to Chelsea and le Arse! He comes to Spurs he has a clean slate simple as, if he messes about then and only then will i want him out.

knee - jerk in the extreme.

doesnt last season great achievment count for nothing?
does one bad night on a shit plastic pitch mean we abandon all we have built, do we ditch dawson who would die for this club, and replace him with someone like eck cant say it, G A LL AS.. THAT STINKS.
we have been called fickle by others in the past..
never has it been proven right ,by the reaction of our fans to one bad night, and to replace our boys, who love our club ..with a turd like gall ..sorry i cant say it ...gallas :bang::bang::bang:

I think you'll be fairly accurate if you assumed the the Central Defender we are bringing in will compliment our depleted ranks, given that Dawson and Bassong cannot play sixty plus games this season.

We ideally don't want Huddlestone puttin in a shift at CB as it depletes his natural talent in midfield.

Kaboulis also young and would not be expected to be slung in to the deep end ( as Dawson was in 06).

So Gallas will have a role to perform. He won't be first choice when all other are fit, ie King and Dawson, necessarily stepping in to matches where his assets will come to the fore.

filth!!!

Thats the first thing i read in here. FS.

Seems like a lot of arsenal fans are massively pissed off about him joining too, so this could work perhaps. I don't like the guy, but I didn't like bentley either...I remember shouting horrible shit at bentley just for not playing for the U21s. Redknapp has a huge amount of experience in this so i'm going to trust him.

I'm not as against the idea as i was basically..

Would be a good signing, hope this goes through because i dont rate Bassong and I think Gallas will bring good experience and add something. Should be interesting but will cheer when he plays on his debut, whenever it may be. COYS

Just a thought - maybe Spurs fans are more grown up than those juveniles down the road.

I love players who hate losing. he gets out his pram when he loses. Just as Chelseas players do when they lose. Its what makes them multi time champions. Yes, they are arseholes. But winning ones.
