Starting to agree with previous posts, and wonder if a Defensive Midfielder like Barrios is an alternative to signing a Centre Back to replace Toby, with Dier moving back to defence permanently instead?
Can see us moving to more of a 433, having Eriksen and Alli/new signing sitting either side of Wanyama/Dier/Barrios, then Son and Lamela/Moura/Martial?? either side of Kane.

International football is hard to judge a player..the pace is slower & you get a lot more time on the ball..positionally though I thought he done well last night..

That Ali McCoist was raving about him during the game last night. Saying the front four for Columbia are all superstars and well known but Barrios was his favourite on the night.
I thought Barrios looked quick and very tenacious in the tackle. Seemed to read the game well and pass the ball quickly. Whether he'd adapt to PL is not known but he looked assured last night.

He did look quite good last night but it is very difficult to judge. The pace in general was absolutely pedestrian and Poland were utterly awful, hardly stringing more than a couple of passes together the entire game.

Again as others have said, I'm also not sure he's what we need, seemingly direct competition for Dier and Wanyama

off topic:Too bad Yerry Mina just recently signed for Barcelona. Wouldn't mind having him alongside Sanchez. Really good against Poland

I can't be the only one to find it funny he has a performance like that after the majority of itks said it wasn't happening.

Interesting thing about him is for Colombia he is comfortable being the midfield anchor behind creative players like Quintero and James, which I can see us doing more next season with Dele and Eriksen especially dropping deeper. Does look worth a punt if the price is as low as suggested and we are in the market for another DM.

Reports abroad seem legit too, but with ITKs saying it's a no go I look forward to seeing him play for Roma next season...
