Where do you see when someone started following someone else?
You just have to look through there followers. An account I follow for spurs just noticed it and posted it. I checked and he certainly is following them.

Believe he's following spurs on Twitter all of the sudden. Looks like this is actually happening..
Nope he’s been following them for ages and he follows a number of other clubs as well.

Do you honestly think there’s something that our manager, who has lead us to the three consecutive top three finishes, doesn’t “understand” about the team he’s been managing/coaching every day for 4 years that you do from watching them once a week?
Brutal fucking logic

I'm allowed an opinion. It's about preferences. If he wants to play that way then so be it. I just don't think it's conducive to an attractive style of football and it has its limitations.

In my opinion where we have come unstuck is against teams who have swarmed our midfield against players such as Dier, a half cooked Dembele and to a lesser extent Wanyama who lack dynamism and agility as well as the technical ability to pass forward confidently. Dier in particular goes into his shell when he's put under pressure.

How many times also have we seen sideways passing against teams parking the bus. City should be the blueprint, look how they keep the ball, but punch it through the lines with ease. I think we have a problem with the latter a lot and it's crucial for catching teams out when they're out of shape.

If Poch saw that as a problem then imo he'd have either changed the shape or would be serious about signing a top number 6. The fact that neither has happened leads me to believe he's happy with what he's seeing. He seems to want Ams but I can't see where the problem is with our current ones. Eriksen and Alli are productive, we all know Son's qualities, Lamela is a solid option. We have a good mix of talent there so I can't understand why that area has been pinpointed as an area for improvement.

I'd actually love to hear what Poch thinks about the midfield and why he thinks our problems are further forward. Nobody is perfect, maybe he just can't see it, who knows? If somebody can tell me how signing another £100m of attackers will make us much better than we currently are then great, but I don't see it making too much difference.

I wonder why when we scout South America we don’t ever seem to be interested in the attacking talent, players such as Maxi Meza (who, although a little older, will very likely start for Argentina ahead of Dybala in the WC) and Christian Pavon both look very interesting prospects.

Sounds like a player with the physical attributes but better technical ability than Wanyama. I could see that as a possible reason to replace him. As good as Wanyama is at breaking up play his ability on the ball is not the best. Poch puts a lot of emphasis on keeping the ball. We saw how much Wanyama struggles when he plays alongside someone like Sissoko and it's looking like we wont have Dembele around next season. He also doesn't work so well alongside Dier so we really have limited combinations with Wanyama in midfield.

I get the feeling we are going to switch to a system with a destroyer who is more mobile so we can have better passing with less defensive responsibility from 2 midfielders infront. Personally i hope its eriksen and dele with winks rotating allowing us to play moura kane and 1 more uptop

"Why do we wait until Ajax and other European teams sign South American players before signing them for crazy money?? We should be scouting there and getting them first!"

*linked to highly rated DM from South America*

"Ffs not that one."

For some reason (because he rates Paulinho) - Vickery is sneered at on here, even though he knows far more about South American football than any of us

Exactly. And rated Paulinho more specifically. Who now, let's all remember, played in El Clasico for Barcelona this past season. Not exactly a downgrade. Paulinho wasn't good for us, but I maintain that he was, and is, a bit of an anomaly as a player that came to us at the wrong time (I wrote about it more here.)

Not to mention, other than Bale, our other players weren't exactly flourishing under AVB. Was Tim right about Paulinho? Not at all, and he would be the first to admit it. A humble sports writer is hard to come by these days and that's just one of the many reasons I'm writing this ridiculous defensive love letter to die on the hill that is Tim Vickery.

Its hard to know, Brazilians have been very hit and miss in England, probably more miss.
