We have some sissoko lovers I see after receiving negative ratings for my comment. If sissoko stays next season that's another 95K a week we could of spent on someone better. He steals a living.

You got a neg from me for the childish "Shitoko" or whatever the fuck it was.

Wouldn't love it but I don't hate the idea of loaning de Ligt back for the year either.. I like Dier at DM, I know most people think thats crazy but I think is more than good enough for that spot. I also want him to just be settled in one spot so he can grow and develop there and that seems to be what we've done at DM.
I think that is key for Dier, people complain that he looks inconsistent at CB, but if he rarely plays there it will be difficult for him to develop (I am on the fence for what is his best position). As for Barrios, I honestly haven't seen much of him apart from a few videos, but I think Poch can get a lot out of him

couldn't help myself have a quick dip in YouTube, I'm more interested now. Maybe this would see Dier re-cast as a CB in a 2 or 3.
Unless Big Vic's knee is fcked I'm not ready for him to leave yet.

Anyway, time to watch Modders instead...

What? Does Poch have a Nespresso machine in his office?

I think it's saying that Poch directly asked the club to buy Barrios so he can bring some Colombian "coffee" with him next season. Can't say I disagree, in certain games where energy levels are dropping some good ol' Colombian "caffeine" would really do the trick.

So finally got round to watching his obligatory “welcome to” YouTube vid.

He tenacity reminded me of Sandro but his passing was very Sissoko like. Always just behind the player.

Unless we are selling Waynama or preparing for Dier to move in to CB permanently then I just don’t see the need for him.

Seems a very bizarre signing is this the meh signing that Hercules eluded to a couple of weeks ago

This paragraph explains everything:

Boca qualified for the knockout phase of South America’s version of the Champions League which resumes in August and they want to keep together their squad, including former Arsenal target Cristian Pavon, but with Barrios they have little control due to the player’s release clause of just under £14.5m.

For under £15m there is very little risk but I wouldn’t expect much more of an impact than Foyth had in his first season. Not against it but hardly going to excite me either.

Now it all makes sense, looking for value again rather than for a player that best fits our footballing requirements.

Looks like he could lack the technique to be a success in our team imo.

Have you seen Dier and Sissoko's first touch? Never mind Alli's ball control at times.

We're hardly Barcelona and that's not what Pochettino wants, he wants a mix of pace, power and technique.

Or both??
This clearly doesn't fit our requirements. We have Dier and Wanyama in this position already. What's the bloody point?

We need attacking minded CMs like kovacic, Ndombele etc., not defensive midfielders. In addition to this, if we are selling Toby and then moving Dier back there then our team is significantly weaker. Dier is far better at CM than CB and in any case, Toby is much better than him at CB. This is needless.

Assuming Hertyid's ITK on Wanyama definitely staying is true, the only way this makes sense for me is if we plan for Dier to drop back to CB permanently and effectively serve as Toby's replacement.
