Wilson Palacios is delighted with the way he has settled into life at Spurs following his January move from Wigan Athletic.

The Honduran midfielder has already made himself a firm favourite with our fans thanks to his no-nonsense, tough-tackling approach to the game. The 24-year-old feels at home in his new surroundings and believes he can fulfil his career ambitions in N17.

"I'm very happy here and the start to my Spurs career has been very positive," said Wilson. "All the lads here have taken to me and I've taken to them too.

"The reaction of the fans to me has also been positive, and I'll be working very hard to keep up my performances for them. This is an important time in my career now, so I'm pleased that I have adapted so well to such a big club.

"For me, this is like a dream come true. I've always wanted to play in the Premier League and I intend to make the most of it. Playing for Spurs will give me that opportunity."

Due to the ease at which Wilson often seems to dominate a Premier League midfield, you could be forgiven for forgetting he has only been plying his trade in this country for little over 18 months.

"The progress I have made has been a surprise for even me! The Honduran game is slower, but I've adapted nonetheless and being at a club like Spurs can only help. I don't see myself as a physically strong player - I'm quite a slim guy - but the Honduran game is also very physical, so my style of football seems to have suited the Premier League."

Wilson, size isn't eveything mate. It's not size of the man in the fight, but the size of the fight in man. Sometimes it appears that Lennon tackles more ferocious than The Hudd.
