Following further assessment and scans, we can confirm that Harry Winks sustained ligament damage to his left ankle during Saturday's win at Burnley.

Thats a huge blow to oud squad. And a huge blow psychologically for him as well. Hope he recovers and puts his injury behind him and perform to the same level when he returns.

Crap hope he doesn't end up being another one of those "all the potential but plagued with injuries" type of players. Seems a real gem.

Cant see any reason at all why he should be. He was just really unlucky to trip over that cool box. Could have happened to anyone. As a side note, I wonder if its really a good idea or necessary for those bloody great hard plastic boxes to be so close to the edge of the pitch in the first place?

Is it clear that is was those boxes that done it, or was it just a strange tackle and an odd landing?

I guess a player would tell you there are far more hazards on the pitch than off it, but all the same WHL has been a dangerous place in recent years esp the old style perimeter e-screens that players were always falling over and behind. And there was a random piece of metal sticking out the ground by the Paxton that an opposition player got speared by a couple of years ago.

I think he did it before he hit the box,
