Brazilian friend of mine is a die hard Flamengo fan and keeps raving to me about this kid. Keeps shoving skills video in my face when ever I see him. Looks the nuts but haven't seen a whole match of his. Apparently he has exceptional vision. No doubt destined for Barca, Madrid, Juve, City anywhere other then us.

Yes, I have a feeling he's already out of Spurs' reach… and will end up in one of the rich clubs.

Yeah, I can confirm he's the nuts. Plays like an experienced pro from the moment he pretty much debuted, he'll go to the very top. Reason I've never mentioned him in here before is because he was immediately being tracked by Madrid & Barca, and most are expecting him to follow Vinicius and Rodrygo.

we missed out on Ndombele, just like we did on Martial, Ousmane etc. Don't give them the extra season to show they are world class or else we lose out on everything. Can't believe certain ITK's were slating signing him :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yesterday proved once again how much we need a CM that can do a bit of everything. We should be throwing everything at Ajax for De Jong.
N'Dombele confirmed yesterday that he should have been a serious target for us. Hell, Aouar looked good as well.

What I would like answered is why we have a winter transfer thread when we don't buy in January and this year we didn't buy in the summer so how does that equate.

Moura last jan.
I think it’s the fact that we did no business in the summer, plus if we are struggling I can see there being investment. But I could be completely wrong.

Need players out!

If we don’t sell anyone we’ve another summer like the last one facing us

So, levy has to take a hit on transfer fees and subsidising players wages and look at the bigger picture.

Can you see him doing that? Historically he’s proved he’s unlikely to. It’s all up to him.

It's easier to loan out in January. I'm sure we will reduce some numbers that way.

You may add Hazard, Suarez and Salah (albeit by now both Hazard and Suarez would have been sold - but with a substantial profit).
I remember I got slated for suggesting Salah  Ok, I did not envisage that he'd turn out to be such a hit.
It gets harder and harder to pick up bargains now though - particularly last summer saw a sickly huge increase in transfer fees.

He’s an exceptional talent, but I do wonder about his physique in the PL. considering the way he likes to play I think it would take a while before he could control a game in the PL. Although it’s a moot point as he’s pretty much nailed on to go to Barca. It’s the move he wants.
Only thing that makes me hesitant on him to Barca is where are his minutes going to come from? Their midfield has a ton of bodies.

Coutinho, Rakitic, Arthur, Alena, Riqui Puig, Vidal, Busquets, Rafinha, and Denis Suarez all as central midfield players. We should be all over Rafinha in January.

On paper your right, but I think a number of those won't be around for long. Coutinho will often start as a LWF when Dembele doesn't start and I think they will sell Rakitic next summer along with Rafinha. Vidal is already quite old and I don't think Denis will be anything more then a rotation player filling up a home grown quota. Barca have pretty much made him thier number one priority, over Pogba or any other CM they have recently been linked to and have been in his ear none stop about a move. If they had got him last summer Rakitic would have gone. The latest news is supposedly RM trying to hijack a move, but I still think he's Barca bound. With De Jong talking publicly about wanting to play alongside Messi at Barca.

De Jong is considered one of the biggest young talents in world football for his position, I think our chance to buy him has gone. Unless Levy offers silly money he will go to a mega club.
