Yeah, I can confirm he's the nuts. Plays like an experienced pro from the moment he pretty much debuted, he'll go to the very top. Reason I've never mentioned him in here before is because he was immediately being tracked by Madrid & Barca, and most are expecting him to follow Vinicius and Rodrygo.

Disagree.
Was extremely average when I watched him in the Copa Libertadores. When he was marked strongely he completely disappeared.
I watched River-Flamengo at the stadium. Vinicius was a handful, and Diego pulled the strings.

I am a fan of Flamengo here in Brazil and I have to say that Paquetá will be a magnificent player, in the first half of the year he was arguably the best player in Brazil, but after the World Cup, the team as a whole has regressed in the last months and he too because of the brutal calendar that the Brazilian confederation imposes on the clubs. He has always been an extremely proactive player and ended up feeling the fatigue of the games in a row.

Paquetá is a perfect player for Pochettino, has an excellent work ethic, a good view of the game, has a reasonable finishing and a world-class ball control.

I think in general he is a more player in the style of Dele Alli, in my opinion it's not exactly what we need. I think Ndombele would be the ideal or Frenkie De Jong. But if we have a chance to be able to buy it, we should take advantage without a doubt, he will easily become the star of the Seleção in a short time.

I imagine that to get it out of there would have to be worth around 50M euros.

We'd never sign a player like this, our scouting team has probably never heard of him ?

That's all very well but how many times have you watched him? Could he have just had a bad night? If he was being marked strongly then that sounds to me like the supply line to him was cut and River had probably targeted him as a danger.

Diego is much more experienced, whilst Vinicius is more electrifying. I also think it's much easier for young attackers to stand out, not only that but Paqueta has played numerous roles and is still growing. He was also voted the best Flamengo player on the pitch in the Sul-America final.

I've watched him enough now over the last year or so, the scouts are circling around and lots of Brazilians are demanding he start for the Seleção. Even R9 had the odd bad game.

Such a shame because I was really hoping Fla would take the title this year. I think they are the teamI identified with the most when I lived there.

I agree with your summary!

Easily 10 times. Always in the Copa Libertadores. The game I mentioned was because it was live at the stadium, not on television. You get a different perspective of a player
He has very good ball control, but that's it.

Re the bolded part, everyone was marked strongly. He's not the danger man of Flamengo and he never was.

He may have a good career, but he won't be extraordinary. And we don't need a player like him. And I have serious doubts he would fit this league. If I had to chose a player from the Brasileirao, it would be Luan

I want a new box to box midfielder. A quality player.
Also want a new left back. Had enough of Rose` tomfoolery.

Harry on BT Sports really stubborn about us not being able to be improved. Hargreaves stating that he thinks we need two players, a class central midfielder and winger. I know who I agree with!

Harry likes Levy, always backs him up in public.

Glenn is showing his passion and echoes the thoughts of the fans.

In January I would go for neves at wovles think he is a top player and would make a good cm partnership with Dier or Dembele. He would add some much needed quality on the ball

His agent is Jorge Mendes so that kinda rules us out lol

He'll end up at someone like City or Utd, top player.

Don’t agree at all that we need to go spend £50m of our “budget” on a winger. In a 4-2-3-1 we’ve got Son, Dele, Eriksen and in form Lucas and Lamela now seriously competing for spots. It’s really not needed at all and it would mean one guy is literally never starting a game, pointless.

Dembele was good today but I think number one aim is still a new CM, a position much more worthy of £50m. Beyond that if Wanyama is never going to return as old Wanyama we need to buy a DM to put serious pressure on Dier. Aside from those two I see absolutely no way or chance of us improving and Harry was correct in that.

I think one superb CM with excellent passing ability and either a rejuvenated Dier or new DM signing would take us up there competing for the title.

Your probably right but I wish we would cut out the crap and get the players we really need even if it costs us a bit more (easy for me to say I suppose when it’s not my money mind)

I know it wont happen...but id go for Ndombele, De Jong and try and get Shaw on a free next season.

All 3 would improve this team and probably get us to the next level. None are likely unfortunately

So who is likely? I keep hearing that no one who has been mentioned is likely which then brings the question, but who is likely? Our stock is as high as its ever been so surely we could bring in talented players.

Ultimately, in my opinion, I would say we need two B2B CMs, one established and one young (depending on Winks), one young AM, a new starting LB, a young CF who is comfortable playing out wide and most likely a new starting DM (unless Dier drastically improves and Vic never gets injured again). The most imperative of that list is a new CM. Everyone else we can take our time on.
