So who is likely? I keep hearing that no one who has been mentioned is likely which then brings the question, but who is likely? Our stock is as high as its ever been so surely we could bring in talented players.

In the french media, we've been heavily linked to rabiot, a deal which I can see happening in Jan

Our relationship with PSG, his contract only having 6 months, and his desire for game time all seem indicators of a move similar to the one we made for Lucas. City Barca and Juve have been linked, and while I can't see either Barca or City moving for him(due to their ability to get someone better), I'd be worried if Juve went in.

The three players id like us to sign are Zaha, N'Dombele, Frenkie De Jong. We don't need a backup striker to Kane as Son has proved he is more than able to play that role. I also like Leon Bailey.

I am a fan of Flamengo here in Brazil and I have to say that Paquetá will be a magnificent player, in the first half of the year he was arguably the best player in Brazil, but after the World Cup, the team as a whole has regressed in the last months and he too because of the brutal calendar that the Brazilian confederation imposes on the clubs. He has always been an extremely proactive player and ended up feeling the fatigue of the games in a row.

Paquetá is a perfect player for Pochettino, has an excellent work ethic, a good view of the game, has a reasonable finishing and a world-class ball control.

I think in general he is a more player in the style of Dele Alli, in my opinion it's not exactly what we need. I think Ndombele would be the ideal or Frenkie De Jong. But if we have a chance to be able to buy it, we should take advantage without a doubt, he will easily become the star of the Seleção in a short time.

I imagine that to get it out of there would have to be worth around 50M euros.
He looks a player but would he get a work permit in England?
I think this is overlooked by the 'why didn't we sign him brigade'....some counties in Europe have much less strict rules on this type of thing....Spain/Portugal to name a couple.

and this is why Paulinho struggled the 2nd half of his 1st season with us, and wasn't really given regular time in his 2nd too then get sent off and hardly get used. also the reason Richarlison had a crap 2nd half of the season with Watford too, both players joined their clubs straight after their season finished

Have posted this in Poch thread - clears up what being brave means once and for all.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Why? Because someone who didn't say it used the word in a book whose title literally contains the word "Brave" (and contains nearly every available use of the word), and even then used it tenuously?

We’ve needed CMs ever since we sold Modric. It’s nothing new, but with Dembele seemingly off in Jan, that need has only become more pressing.

De Jong would be superb, as would NDombele. Rabiot too, and with his contract running down there could be half a chance. We’ve been linked with Lobotka, Berge, Haidara, and Diawara over the past 3/4 months too. Also like the look of Ntcham at Celtic.

And none shall be signed.

Surely not even we can be so stupid to sell Dembele in January and not bring anyone else in.

EDIT: In saying that though we probably would have had we got the right offer in the summer. You'd at least like to think common sense would prevail.

Rabiot would be good but think Man Shitty would bring him in no doubt. We certainly need midfielders and what would be even more concerning is if Dembele moves in January which I hope he doesnt but wouldnt put it past us to sell him for a few quid

The trouble with Dembele is that when he is good, he is fantastic, but he isn’t always very good any more.

Rabiot/N'Dombele and Fekir I think would be good for us and all attainable - just need some balls to fucking get these guys in
