Rabiot/N'Dombele and Fekir I think would be good for us and all attainable - just need some balls to fucking get these guys in
Where Rabiot goes is anyones guess due to his crazy mother/agent. Fekir is 100% for sale and I would imagine so to is Ndombele. But Lyon are tough negotiators and Levy would have to pay up in order to purchase which we all know he won't. Our Winter targets will almost certainly be Martial and De Jong again and we won't end up with ether.

They are not attainable for us. To get those players you actually have to pay money.

I agree. They are attainable though, whether we pay for them or not is another matter. The problem is that we complain when theyre not attainable, and when they are attainable we don't have the money.

At this rate we wont be bringing anyone in which we clearly need.

Wouldn’t say no to Declan Rice.

There’s a lot of silly snobbery when it comes to players in the PL. For some reason if a player comes from Europe it always feels more exciting. Said to people 2 years ago about Arnautovic and got laughed at. Many had same response to Shaqiri this season. Have to admit I didn’t see it in Richarlison, ok they paid top dollar but wouldn’t surprise me if he is a £60m player in 2 years. Rice is definitely worth a look, not totally convinced though. But I think there’s lots of little gems in the PL go unspoken about because of snobbery.

Not good enough for us and we only wanted him because he was going to be in the bankruptcy bargain bucket.. or so we thought

Despite the hurruf that surrounded him in the summer, he's not stood out an awful lot since. For £30m, I'd expect him to be putting in Sessegnon levels of performance. Even Maddison stood out for a most of the season.

Considering we didn't spend any of our 150M kitty from the summer and we have had a couple youth outgoings I look forward to seeing what our January budget will be. I have a feeling we are going to go big.

Hopefully... another bargain player like Lucas...

But if u are in a comfortable spot in the table... I am just wondering if we might see another quiet window. Has any team by choice not sign anyone in a season?

I was completely taking the piss with my 150M post. Let's say that I caused a spike in the salt commodity market with the amount I poured on those initial claims. I have no expectation that we will spend anything. I don't believe the powers-that-be recognize/believe we have a MF issue that will not be solved with the players we currently have available. Furthermore, if we anticipated picking up some folks in Jan then we would have off-loaded some in the summer. It is unlikely we are gonna dump players AND pickup some quality all in January.

Lewis Cook not starting for Bournemouth, not sure that means he is good enough for us but we were linked in summmer. Home grown in a position we need
Agree this is the kind of realistic signing we should be going for. Squad player to start and potential to go on to great things

So we should sign a player who can't get off Bournemouth's bench even though we have a player who is potentially better than Cook who is in our first team, makes sense.
