Really can’t see a Zaha or type happening unless it’s a proven back up striker/winger. We have x6 reliable scoring options now which is more than most and on a par with city. If you add another who drops out ? If we play 4231. You will end up with Zaha Son Lamela on bench just can’t see it.

If we want to nick anyone from Monaco it should be their 17 year old wonderkid striker Pellegri. That kid looks like a serious talent and he is massive, perfect build for the PL. In fact we should just nick their youth scouts while we are at it.
interesting, not heard of him before.

Don't see what difference this thread makes as the majority of you will infect pretty much any transfer thread with unrelated links and post about the latest (usually foreign) player you've heard about through Football Manager, FIFA or YouTube highlights that is under 24 and rated as some kind of prospect in a far far worse league, usually with a ridiculously unrealistic price tag for a Spurs' signing.

It's proper name is Last Televised Game Syndrome.

They nabbed him of Genoa. He's their next big youth prosect.

Yes he will be a class striker. Italy will be dangerous going forward in a few years with him and moise kean up top. Kean is even better than pellegri in my opinion. Could be the best striker in the world

Just a quick reminder that the ITK and Transfer Rumours threads will open soon at which point all transfer related threads in Spurs Chat will either be locked or be moved across as usual.

As you know, we cannot have transfer stuff all over the place as it makes moderating it impossible. Nevertheless, the change is small, it's still only a click away.

April.

Yeah Italy have a very good group of youth prospects at the moment. In a few years they should have an excellent team. Kean does look a prospect although he wasn't that remarkable at Verona last season. Still he's only 18 and is more agile then Pellegri who's more a recking ball. Still both are very quick. Those two together will be lethal if they reach their potential.

You can't tell how good a player is going to be for certain at 18/19, look at the number of people who would have had Harry sold as a donkey. I'm sure a lot of you/them at that time would have swapped him for whomever was the youngest darling of YouTube etc.

People hype young players up so much most of the time that unless they're the next coming of [Insert Footballing Legend], they're a disappointment tbh.

Okay folks let's imagine this scenario....Poch suggests one major buy (£30m - £35m) who he wants to come in during January window and Levy (Being the tightwad we have come to know and love) agrees to his demands providing the club also ditches two players to help finance the deal (recoups at least £15m in total).........who goes ??

PS.
I am thinking Llorente and Dembele....

Dembele and Alderweireld as they are on their way out anyway.

Just kidding.

Vorm and Nkoudou, Janssen and Llorente, Dembele and Sissoko, Rose and Davies.

Bring in De Ligt, De Jong and Grimaldo.

I'd say anyone much better will be out of our price range, especially since the hike in stadium construction costs. Wouldn't be surprised if we can't afford Lemina tbh.

I'm thinking bigger, if that is our price range I'd rather we look elsewhere TBH

I love the wishlist threads too and think they'd be a great addition to the Transfer Forum, but can also understand why A&C would be resistant. It would inevitably bleed over into the ITK thread and need to be cracked down upon, which could create considerably more work for him in what is already a very difficult forum to moderate.

IF it were allowed I think it'd be imperative that the community as a whole police itself in much the same way that many do with photos, GIFs, or tweets being posted in the ITK thread. It would be adding yet another layer to what is already a (necessarily) complicated set of rules, so it would be important that the burden not fall only upon the moderators.
Thats what @tiger666 is for.

Son, Lucas and Kane look tired, Poch is using the 4-3-3 with 2 of lucas/son/lamela either side of kane, the current backup strikers aren't good enough so getting 1 who can play both as a striker and wide would be a big help.

CM, attacking player for the front 3, CB (Alderweireld leaving if he doesn't sign a new contract), DM if Wanyama is done, LB if Rose is done in the 2 upcoming windows. It would've been nice to have the first 2 done in the summer so it isn't such a large squad change.

And wrt selling Son - how about no.
I

Stop referring to the players as tried. They are not tried just not on form.

You raise some valid points and and I know it's a tedious/ thankless job for @A&C. (I do chuckle though at how he goes from eccentrically happy to bat shit angry 0.5 seconds with our antics in there).

Any how never gonna win this. Just keep trying maybe he will go all soft fuzzy and warm inside and he'll finally relent. :shifty:
