Thoughts on a Toby for Bailly switch ? Not seen enough of Bailly to comment but I do think Toby isn’t the same post injury.

Tielemans starting for Belgium tonight.
Are there any other big talents over at Monaco right now outside of the Italian forward?

Can't imagine Henry would be real interested in selling us their best players unfortunately.

I would oppose not because of the player but because I think we're already sorted in the RCB department. We've basically had to limit our best RCB (Toby) because he's our second best LCB with Jan out and since Sanchez and Foyth both are too inexperienced to cover that job.

I think Bailly similarly to Toby has not been the same post-Mourinho fallout. I think stylistically he would be a great fit and his ability to cover a lot of ground be a great rotation with Sanchez and cover for the ever forward wandering but backwardly slow Trippier but we would basically be saying to Foyth "become an LCB or leave"... Which we may already end up doing once Jan returns just by lack of playing time.

Yep, we need a lefty should Toby leave.

have been looking at our squad and a bit of a puzzle is the following:
We have Dier, Winks and possibly big Vic as 3 of our 4 key central midfielders for next season with Dembele leaving and possibly Sissoko (although he isn't a pure CM anyway).
We have "in the wings:"
Onomah, Amos, TOB, Skipp
Fair to say Skipp stays because of his potential and age but what do we do with those three?
Do we loan 2 and give one a chance? Sell some combo?
It is a tough one....particularly if we are being linked to Declan Rice who could develop to be the perfect Dier understudy.
But even putting him to one side...what would you do with those 3/4 players?
What do you think we do?
My 2 cents: Skipp stays around the squad, TOB is loaned to a league 1 side, Amos stays because he is recovering from injury and probably gets a loan a bit later and Onomah....just don't know

Sylla is one for the future from Monaco. Kid will be up there with the best one day if he lives up to his potential.

Can play across the front 3 but is more effective centrally. He is only 18 so not well known yet but will start making waves in the next few seasons.

Sanchez Foyth Jan, Dier and CCV I think will be enough.
CCV wont make it with us IMO, hes too slow off the mark and turning, he needs to be at a club that defends deep and and in numbers.

I think when Jan leaves, we will need to asses where everyone is at to determine if we need an experienced replacement, young replacement or no-one as we have 3 very good prospects (Binks, Walcott and Lyons-Foster), so will be interesting to see where they are at.

If CCV isn't an option, then our link to Nathan Aké makes a lot of sense. He's come a long way since he left Chelsea. Play to the left, where we only got Vertonghen, while both Foyth and Sanchez prefer the right. Versatile, cover left back, possibly also defensive mid. Would make our centre back options deep and balanced. Alderweireld sale would cover a big part of his transfer fee.

I like Ake, left footer as well and would be a good player to develop as long-term successor (and current cover) for Vertonghen.

If he accepts that of course as regular for Bournemouth and spent plenty of time in Chelsea’s reserves.
