Not sure how it's relevant?

It is hard to know without knowing who these targets are.

There were rumours of AVB strongly wanting Moutinho but he went for massive wages.

If AVB’s targets did not fit us then his view has less relevance.

Apparantely, Moutinho, Hulk and Villa, maybe some more.

Anyway, that was 2 managers ago, we've broken our transfer record twice since then, taken great strides on and off the pitch, we're an absolute world away from the AVB era.

Seems relevant to how the board operates on transfers so I'll put it in here:

"...we started planning for the next season. I offered some names to buy and sell, but during the transfer window, the board didn’t listen and quickly destroyed everything we’d created."—AVB

By all accounts he was asking for unrealistic names like Hulk. His career post-Spurs doesn’t suggest he was some kind of genius that as hamstrung by Levy.

Sky Sports saying we hold interest in Ake, Lewis Cook, David Brooks and Callum Wilson at Bournemouth...
In my opinion all 4 of those players would improve us in different areas of the pitch and add distinct depth we are lacking...

Sky also saying we are still wanting N’Dombele, also identifying Haidara (RB Salzburg) and Doucoure (Watford) as alternatives.
Think N’Dombele has set sail, will end up at City as the long term Fernandinho replacement, wouldn’t mind Haidara myself, think he has potential to be a bit of a beast!

These are all players that should be on our list of players to target but they will reportedly cost more than £0 so I don't see us getting any of them.

Can you confirm this?
Well all these links are from an omnibus piece entitled "Will Spurs spend in January" and contains the line "Spurs fans hoping for a loosening of the purse strings or a change of policy this January are likely to be disappointed." Sooooooooooo

I would oppose not because of the player but because I think we're already sorted in the RCB department. We've basically had to limit our best RCB (Toby) because he's our second best LCB with Jan out and since Sanchez and Foyth both are too inexperienced to cover that job.

I think Bailly similarly to Toby has not been the same post-Mourinho fallout. I think stylistically he would be a great fit and his ability to cover a lot of ground be a great rotation with Sanchez and cover for the ever forward wandering but backwardly slow Trippier but we would basically be saying to Foyth "become an LCB or leave"... Which we may already end up doing once Jan returns just by lack of playing time.

I know Poch usually uses Toby on the left when Jan has been out, but the annoying thing is Sanchez plays the left when he plays for Columbia

don't miss the point about Levy/Board and AVB- he was a fkin stupid appointment. I'd agreed with all of Baldy's managerial appointments till then, even if they didn't work out.

Thoughts on a Toby for Bailly switch ? Not seen enough of Bailly to comment but I do think Toby isn’t the same post injury.
Your right about Toby but getting Bailley would be a step backwards in my opinion he is headless and legless in some matches ive seen him in
