I know he has been a name mentioned since he was at Red Star, and somebody linked him a few pages back. But i really hope we are keeping tabs on Luca Jovic. Top goalscorer in Bundesliga with 9 goals for Frankfurt (although 4 came in 1 game). On a season long loan from Benfica. Only 20, has crazy potential and versitile. Think he would be excellent alongside Kane. If he continues to score he will no doubt be beyond our reach. Tabloids already starting to link him with the big boys. But still, he would be a great target for us ability and age wise.

If City continue to buy midfielders for shits and giggles, we should inquire about Delph. Likewise, Chelsea doesn’t seem to have much time for RLC either. Yes, I know the latter club doesn’t like dealing with us, but the player could push for the move. Adding them to Dier and Winks could be a really strong English core. Not to mention the potential of Skipp too. It’s a bummer seeing them both wasted at their parent clubs. I think a player like Delph could be to us what Milner has been to Liverpool.

And probably Sissoko too over the summer. Best to cash in on him sooner rather than later as he’s having a bit of a purple patch, which can help increase his value from where it was at the beginning of last summer... which is to say, we would have been lucky to get $15m for him.

Clubs do need to want to buy the players we want to sell!

I know his had injuries but Dembele is a hard man to replace, so are victor and rose but if fit they are great players, we need to improve full backs and CM.

From what I remember, there were plenty of clubs interested in those players in the summer, it's just that the players rejected moves to them for whatever reason. We can pray that them playing fuck all minutes for 4 months has made them eager to get out as fast as possible

I'd also love to improve the fullbacks, but at this point we're seemingly operating under a 1 in 1 out policy, and I don't see any of our fullbacks leaving in Jan, unfortunately.

As for Dembele, in essence I think we've already replaced him, or at least the version of him shown last and this season. Winksy has been phenomenal and Sissoko seems to be stepping up in a pinch. I think we do need an actual body to replace him in january, however.

In a perfect world, we get Ndombele on January 1st. More realistically though, I'd take Lobotka in a heartbeat. 31m euro release clause, tidy little player.

He took a while to recover from the injury that put him it out of the World Cup then when he has played since he looked seriously below par. Favre preferring Witsel and Dahoud. But he did start against B Munich last weekend, and although he was again bellow par, does suggest the manger still has faith in him. Would be surprised if they sold him for less then 40 mil. Favre is doing a very good job at Dortmund and I would be surprised if they sell any of their big names unless contracts are running out, ie Pulisic, who has also been below par this season. Be curious to know how long Weigl has left on his contract. Could be one to follow if he gets upset tho, but won’t happn till summer I would think.

@nedley, any reason for the WTF? Weigl has most certainly underperformed this season and struggled for minutes.

@Ossie85 , have you seen anything of Atletico Miniero’s Bruno Roberto? I know he’s only had like 4 or 5 first team starts but we, amongst others, are supposedly scouting him. Probably bullshit, or at least I would be surprised if we had any real intrest, but just curious to know if he’s any good. If he is is good I fully expect RM to buy him as they seem to be getting all the young Brazilian talent what with Rodrygo following Vinicius despite them both playing in the same position.

Sorry, I don't trust squawka stats. It's very difficult to rate passes with numbers. A 1 meter or 20 meter forward pass will be the same for squawka. Is a pass 10 meters to the left, but 1 meter forward a forward pass or a sideways pass for squawka??

But that's ridiculous. You made a statistics-based argument, an argument that can be quantified. You can't just dismiss the facts that prove your statement erroneous after you made the statistics-based argument. You own are eyes are unreliable. As are mine, as is everyone else's who watches football, and not credible enough to support the argument you used to criticise Winks, when the actual facts prove you wrong.

I know Poch was at a recent Barca B game but in his own words...
"We are going to talk about football, The Catalan Federation asked us to go there and talk with the Catalan coaches, and I think it is a great opportunity to share, and explain how the Premier League is and Tottenham."
Would be funny if we ended up getting him. Not quite sure why he signed a new contract, i was under the impression he wanted to stop playing for Barca B. But i could be wrong.
