Foyth will get there, some silly mistakes but it’s going to happen when you’re learning. I would say that was 2 points gained today and we now push into 4th with lots of improvement ahead of us. Start playing some home games and we’ll be flying.
I haven't watched the match, but it seems his mistakes were brought on by the mistakes of others. As Poch said, the mistakes came from experienced players. It is pretty obvious who he was referring to.

Have they? Wasn't very good in midweek (though out of position so can be excused), was acceptable against Inter but was defensively all over the place against Newcastle. His positioning is still atrocious. Just one of those things that people pick up on less.
Newcastle was his first game of the season, for crying out loud.

Needs consistency to be an effective answer.
He's been very good in a lot of our games this season, and has been consistently good for the best part of his time with us. He goes through a few mistakes, mistakes that are inevitable when you play in his that style.

They guy gets caught out when rushing out or using his feet because he does it constantly, but I'd rather he gets caught out every once in a while than not do it at all, because it improves our game.

BBC Sport:

  • Spurs have only lost two of their last 17 away games in the Premier League, winning each of the last four in a row.

Half the team need to be shipped out apparently.

:ROFLMAO:
Reading this thread, anyone would think we were bottom of the table fighting relegation with west ham!

He has only had three games this season so I am basing it on all of the games he has played. There is little evidence he has kicked on, apart from one game against Inter.

I'd be more than happy for him to play the next few games, but I don't see this evidence of improvement thats all.

Didn’t see the game but just saw the MOTD highlights.

Looks like Lamela worked hard and this created a lot of our chances

11 matches played, 7 of them away, 4 "at home", such as it is.

Three points off the top, despite multiple injuries all season. Six matches in a fortnight. Visibly knackered players all over the pitch, running on fumes, but still gasping out a win.

Out of our 7 away matches, we have won 6 and lost 1. That's the away form of a team that wins the league, at least once they get to play half their matches at home - a proper home - instead of 36% of them.

But the only thing the fuckwits here can do is to diss our individual players, at length, disrespectfully and repeatedly.

It's a team game. Our team, playing 64% of its matches away from home, shorn of 4-6 key players at any given time this season through injury, with 9-10 players only just recovering from an exhausting summer, is averaging 2.18 points per game, which corresponds to 83 points over the season.

Get a grip, people. On reality. No, we are not playing silky football, except in spasms - which usually lead to goals. We are winning matches anyway. That's what really good football teams do. They just keep winning.

I'm happy enough.

A tricky away game with quite a few important players missing , and we won it.

We scored three good goals, they scored two penalties, one of which was a completely unnecessary gift that gave Wolves what turned out to be false hope.

Pochettino is clearly still happy with Foyth, who played well overall and will no doubt learn from the experience. As I hope will Trippier, who will get a few choice words from the manager to set him right no doubt. Harry's looking a bit sharper, certainly not at his best yet but still dangerous and notching up important goals, and we can look forward to Christian, Dele and eventually Jan coming back to add considerably to the strength of the team. Rose too maybe.

We all knew that the first few months of the post-World Cup season would be hard, and injuries have compounded the problem.. Yet we're still well in touch with the leaders, and have played fewer home games than anyone. I believe that we'll improve, we know what we're capable of, and we've got a nice points total as a foundation to build on.

Despite the gloom about the stadium delays and the lack of transfer activity in the summer, there's there's a lot to be optimistic about.

No need to be sorry, I thought it was an awesome word to use for the point you were trying to put across. ??
Exactly why I used it. I felt the intended would appreciate the sentiment. Apparently, I was wrong (right?) as he keeps going back and neg-repping my posts instead of engaging with 'all the words' he spoke about.

Thank you David I wanted to say the same thing but you said it much more eloquently mine was going to be full of "F"'s and "C"'s. So many people in here are intent on destroying individual players, some out of form then they call themselves fans and supporters. The team are doing better than they should be really considering everything. I am happy and proud of them.

I think most people get that.

Part of the frustration is left-over from the non-activity this summer. Some of the frustration is over the stadium, and how the club are handling that situation. Part of it is, we all see how teams around us are playing - and the top teams are a fair bit ahead of us in quality, even if not in points.
