From QPRMAD...Tottenham have signed midfield prospect Dean Parrett from Rangers in a £2million deal.

Parrett, 15, attracted interest from Chelsea but opted for a move to White Hart Lane. The deal was completed on Wednesday night following several weeks of negotiations.

The England youth international is rated as one of the best young players in the country.

Rangers had planned to give Parrett his first-team debut as a substitute later this season if safety in the Championship was secure.

That would have made him the youngest ever player to turn out for QPR, beating Frank Sibley’s longstanding record.

Get in! Don't know anything about him, but it's nice to know that he's chosen us over Chelsea. Maybe he'll help us spank the Gunners in 2011.
3. BringBack_leGin
ok, now lets hope news comes in of something last minute to add some creative spark to us!

Centre Midfield, but remember he's only 15, so he's not going to be anywhere near the 1st team for a year or two atleast.

Hmm...it´s not reported on the official site though so is this transfer confirmed?

I certainly hope so as he appears to be highly rated.

This is from a QPR site chronicling the the U-16's :

"The impressive Dean Parrett picked up a loose ball and dribbled past four players at pace and unleashed a ferocious shot from the edge of the penalty area which smashed against the crossbar with the Northampton keeper totally beaten."

And,

"
The ball fell to Dean Parrett approximately 20 yards from goal and sent a volley past the Southend keeper with excellent technique and precision."

And finally,

"
The impressive Parrett picked the ball up just inside Southend’s half and made a surging run, beat two players and stroked the ball into the bottom right corner.

Who give's a flying shit about 15 yr olds, who might or might not ever play for Spurs? Surely most supporters are more interested in why we haven't signed any fecking grownups to play on the fecking wing!

"Bigspurs" I know what you mean, it's frustrating but I care about 15 year olds, basically because we can't buy an established left winger to save our lives, take Downing, nene, even bales, these are established players who don't want to come to us so we have to get good youngsters.

I hate it but at least we might not be in this position in 3-5 years, classic example is Lennon, could we buy hiom now? not likely if Man utd wanted him as well!

We've got to the stage where we don't want to buy average players only good ones which is harder but what it means is that we are serious about competing at the top.

Depending on a 15 yr old to solve our "leftie" issue is the height of farce. Nice to note, but that's all it is at the moment: a footnote, IF true.
