Huge goal for the group. Mexico surely favourites to finish top now.

Good penalty too.

But but but it was ball to hand...
Those who argued against the Poulsen penalty or this penalty can't be listened to. Essentially the same situation where the arm is so clearly out from the body that even when unintentional it blocks the path of the ball so clearly it has to be penalised.

VAR is going to change football. So many games affected by penalties, defenders are going to have to become the most skilful players on the pitch!

The situations were nothing alike. The Denmark one there was less than a foot between the ball and his arm (that he was in the process of lowering after using his arms to jump as all people would)

The World Cup is an outlier. After a full season of VAR in Italy and almost a full season in MLS, penalties have increased by only 4 or 5%. I imagine after defenders get used to it they start making smarter decisions.

Hopefully it will be similar to when they introduced the back pass rule, where we saw quite a few free kicks given before players adapted.

Son's trying a little too hard so far. Saying that, he's trying to single handedly carry his team. Not easy.

I know Korea don't have the tallest and strongest players but FFS, how does a corner move end in a lucky free kick inside your own half?
