That tactic may have worked if we had any quick players on the counter attack, but we didn’t so yeah, hard to create anything when that’s the case. Although I’m heartbroken I’m also frustrated to How we acted in the last 15. We made some really bad decisions and acted inexperienced in general.

Sweden were decent first half and the penalty decision still has me scratching my head.

But the second half tactics were poor, along with some poor decision making on the ball. Sitting back and letting Germany come at you without trying to intercept or close down was footballing suicide. I don't know how They didn't score before the 2nd. Wish they hadn't.

Hope you beat Mexico.

Just finished the SKorea/Meico game. Very high on energy, very low on quality. Nice consolation goal by Son though.

Just starting Germany/Sweden.

I'd never even heard of Jimmy Durmaz before that game, but I was stunned by how shite he was even before he needlessly gave away that free kick at the end.

Constantly giving up possession and silly free kicks.

What an utter shitbag.

Can't say Germany didn't deserve it, they were pushing and pushing, but they don't look right. For all their pushing, they didn't create much of quality and there's issues in all three areas of the pitch for them. Rudiger and Boeteng are vulnerable to quick legs. The midfield three were better tonight, but still don't transition backwards well, and the front group just don't look cohesive, no matter which way round Low jigs it.

I thought the same. Frantic but key passes missed, some bad decisions on set pieces (particularly Korea and corners) and the penalty was clear as day. Silly from the defender. Good goal from Son but too late, although he had been trying all game.

Should have been a pen on Berg which means Boateng could have been sent off earlier. Kroos' goal was well taken from a tight angle. Bit of a get out of jail free card there.

Guidetti has to shoulder the same amount of blame as Durmaz, if not more.

With less than 90 seconds of stoppage time remaining, his utterly ridiculous attempt at goal from the corner of the box was mind-boggling. Probably worse than West Ham’s Antonio’s decision to cross it in the away game at Palace last season.

hirving lozano really impressed me in yesterday game against South Korea. Had drive, pace and a constant threat. Would not mind him. 22 yrs old and currently under contract with PSV.
