Indeed, they're actually very different to each other: hurricanes form at sea, whereas tornaodes form on land; hurricanes are hundreds of miles across, tornadoes no more than a few hundred metres; hurricanes can last days, tornadoes blow themselves out in hours; windspeeds in hurricanes are about half the speed of tornadoes, etc, etc.

But it's difficult to depict a hurricane as a cartoon in a small space, so a tornado is a good substitute in that they're both spinny, windy things (that's the specific scientific terminology, by the way).

Russia haven't been bad at all but it's a reminder that they haven't played a decent team up to now (same for us in fairness).

I feel like Uruguay has gone under the radar this WC. They don’t play the most exciting football but they are very solid and disciplined. And with the likes of Cavani and Suarez they can really do some damage.
