I know defenders holding attackers and vice-versa have always been an issue, but why all of a sudden are defenders intent on doing it so blatantly? Particularly when it's the first time VAR has been in place? It seems incredibly counter-intuitive.

Seems it's one of the things this WC will be remembered for. Weird how it's happening so much this tournament.

It's not the most entertaining to watch, but it is incredibly effective with a lead.
