All this talk from the pundits about "players' players".

Young has put one decent ball in from open play, and that was the only time he didn't check back and actually trusted his left foot. He takes corner kicks with his right foot, and Trippier could take them better.

Sterling and Lingard may run around a lot, but their decision making and touch has been shite.

Trippier is literally the ony creative force out there, and he barely got a mention.

Yet again Tripps has been our best player.

Running out of words for how impressed I am with him in this tourney.

Hope he brings all that goodness back to us for next season.
Agree, he's completely changed my opinion on him. In fact if he was a first teamer ten years ago he would have been a good old fashioned Right Midfielder rather than a wingback.

Move Deli up. Drop Sterling back. Problems solved. How many times have we seen Dele score chances exactly like the one Sterling just had?

And then watch Aurier start v Newcastle....
Trippier will not start against Newcastle - assuming the win today, the England players will only be back with Spurs for about a week before the season starts. Hard to see any of them starting.

Alli shocking....Sterling wasteful...

They are there for the taking but have to be more direct and quicker.

Crying out for rashford to go at them.

Two glasses of water so far, not had any food today yet so they might hit me hard.

Nice to see JJ at long last.

Are we allowed to ask him questions?

It's a shame Sterling didn't get one against Panama. The confidence it would have given him would've done him a world of good.

Gotta say, Trippier's been pretty excellent this tournament.

Can't help but wonder what this tournament has added to Trippier's value. At £3.5m he has turned out to be an absolute bargain.

He’s having to come too deep, it seems like it’s only Spurs players and Walker who ever want to give him the ball

He doesn't really run channels though currently, I know some of the time that's because he's supposed to attract defenders and so open space for the 3rd man run of Lingard/Alli, but there have been numerous (like 10+) times in that half the ball has broken for an England man and he should/they need him to make a run down a channel and give an option and he just hasn't.

This game should be all over but for Sterling butchering good positions. Dele just not at the races playing in midfield and oh for a left wing back that can use his left foot. Other the. That I’m happy!

This formation might (and I mean "might") get us through this match but it's not going to get us much further.

Bizarre selection as he was also largely ineffectual in the last game.

Play him up or get him off.
