Fuck me, that was hard work. The last few tournaments Croatia have be so badly coached, they continually find a way to look much less than the sum of some good parts. No structure, no cohesion.

And Nigeria were atrocious.

Nice little flair player in Cueva of Peru disputes his Baggio penalty. Like to see the rest of his performances.

Im watching the games behind you guys because Im not getting up at 6AM and Ive got work to do, but:

France-Australia: not a fan of VAR, thought Australia was hard done. they probably got it right for Peru but 50-50 is no better than the ref can do real time.

Iceland-Argentina: for all their talent, Ive seen better organized teams than Argentina in my city league. What a waste.

Peru-Denmark: match of the day, and still not that great.

Croatia-Nigeria: Didnt think Croatia were as bad as some say but Nigeria were awful.

Such a shit pundit. When DeGae fumbled Ronaldo's shot, Ferdinand's intellectual insight was "see that's why you should have a shot".

I really don't want another World Cup of the same fuckwit punditry. And that goes for the token birds they are now chucking at us too. They might as well just put Ferdinand and Ian Wright in a fucking tutu.
Said something similar earlier BBC can kiss my hole, itv are winning by a country mile so far and they're not amazing

I felt the same. In real time it looked a decent challenge, I thought the Aussie defender had touched the ball and the French player dived. Replays show a foul, the trailing leg, but there's no way he was getting the ball anyway.. shame. Also felt that France, Hernandez in particular, had been diving all game, and the ref should have been wiser to it.

Argentina with Caballero in goal is a disaster waiting to happen. They tried to walk the ball in, or give it to Messi to win them the game - which he nearly did. Iceland played very well but when they had the chance to break it was difficult for them. Whoever ended up with the ball had to turn back every time.

Didn't see the other 2 games. Too late.

The Nigeria coach needs to do better, put players in positions they can be effective in.

Yesterday took my hatred of Mark Clattenberg up another few levels. I didn't think it was possible. How no player never smacked the smug **** in the chops I'll never know. ****.

How is Pogba being awarded that goal by Fifa by the way? He doesn't even try and shoot, he just tries to control it around the player off the outside of his boot...
