Because he made one descison you disagree with?
No he gave France a freekick by a dive. He should've booked a France player from taking a free kick then and should have booked a Croatian player for pulling Mbappe back just now. Both are bookable offences. The ref's have been incompetent in this WC. Shearer just said I hope the final is not decided on this awful decision.

Every pundit on the TV is saying it wasn't a penalty either. You'll forgive me for believing them over a few posters on here who want Croatia to lose.

From that close?

Really?

Stop looking into the slow mos.
A millisecond to see it, react and nice his arm...

Not physically possible to send a message to the brain and move the arm that quickly

You could put him behind a player that close and ask him to react to flicks and try and handle and he wouldn't get near any.

The thing about the penalty decision is, you need to make the decision at real time speed. Not slow motion. Need to judge the intent, not whether contact was made.

This penalty shout has been so controversial. So many people arguing both sides.

I think the element of doubt will still be there so I'm not sure if the ref can call it. Can't prove the intent and there really isn't enough in it to make that call. the fact the ref had to go back to it and the VAR officials couldn't decide either means that you can't commit to a decision. Ref shouldn't have called it, too much doubt.

Why does his arm move down like that? I’ve just gone out and jumped 20 times and my hand didn’t do that once (I haven’t really it’s too hot).

Doesn’t even touch Matuidi so where has allthis half a yard thing come from?

He had about 30 yards to react by not bringing his arm down to block it

Do not like the dance or sign either but no need for the homophobia.
For goodness sakes...

What if I told you I was gay? Do you understand reappropriation of language?

Stop trying to create an issue where there isn't one and focus on the football. I apologise for not knowing about a video game because I'm a grown adult.

Only if you forgive me for believing the trained referee that gave it over washed up footballers

Well I didn’t realise Alan Shearer, who’s never been trained as a referee thought that, it’s settled then isn’t it

Guess Klinsmann and Lineker both quality strikers in their era are both wrong? and Ferdinand a world class defender, is he wrong too? The bloody handball didn’t even hit the definition or VAR requirements.

There wasn't any doubt though, the ref never even saw it hit the defender so gave a goalkick, then the VAR told him theres a potential handball to look at, so he did and decided it was a penalty
