What happened to Embolo? Don't think I've seen him play since the Euro's...

Injuries. And Schalke had a really good season so hard for him to get a starting place when he came back.
Still only 21 and he’s very talented. Fast, strong and has big potential

I'm not putting any more bets on this WC. Already got 3 acca's wrong and put a bit on Brazil to win by 2+ today.

It'll be a Senegal/Denmark final or something mad.

Well, that's not true.

It's a contact sport, it always has been and hopefully always will be. Little shoves here and there are part of the game.

This particular one was probably 50/50 but I'm glad the goal stood. Fed up of fouls being given for every little bump and bit of contact.
There's a big difference between some contact and someone putting two arms into your back. He gave a free-kick for a much softer shoulder into the same players back a few minutes later.

I've talked about this too much now.

That's been the problem with VAR. Soft fouls led to goals being called off but soft fouls haven't led to PKs given. At least it's been consistent at the World Cup. It's a high bar to give a PK and it's a high bar to cancel out a goal for a foul.
Except for the France game!

I think Neymar gets the physical attention because of his diving. Defenders think if the refs going to give the foul for a dive then why not make it a valid foul.

Did I miss the announcement of 5 mins now being the standard length of extra time?

Disappointed we haven't seen the obligatory shot of a fit Brazilian bird in a bikini top.
