South Korea's keeper was great in the first half. Completely dominated his box and some good saves.

The Norwegian state channel have gone so overboard with the pro-Sweden "Söta Bror" coverage that I feel genuinely embarrassed. I do tend to support our neighbours (yes @RickyVilla , even Denmark), but it's been proper cringey.

VAR check for a penalty claim Sweden. Looked stonewall in real time.

Yep, given.

How have Sweden not scored, though? Another huge chance.

cos their 9 can't hit a barn door from the inside?

good pen from the 4 though. amazed the ref/lino missed the pen in the first place, was an absolute stonewall.......

Exactly how VAR should work
Yeah, that was textbook and breaking off the Korean counter early enough for them to not get a scoring chance was a good call too.

But really, yes VAR works but that's a massive bollock dropped by the ref and assistant on the near side. Wonder what they would've done had they not had VAR to lean on, if they would've given it or not.

Yeah Berg's not very good is he? Scoring buckets in the Saudi league doesn't say much, as the Saudis themselves proved v Russia.

History tells us what they would have done. No penalty, Korea probably go and score up the other end and win and Sweden get screwed and told it all levels out in the end whilst they are facing world cup exit.

VAR is a god send for the fairness of football.

That is what I'm thinking too. Don't think they would've had the balls to call it.

Got to want Sweden to win here. England potentially play the winner of this group in the QFs.
