Find this all a bit weird....Salah is a class player and seemingly a class act...plays for the team, doesn't make it all about him, comes across as very humble and is a cracking player who works his nuts off...and people are lauding an arse like Ramos who is a proper dirty bastard and cheat...

This is all because of Liverpool fans is it? Or something else? I think we should ban the 'what do other fans think' thread if it is, because people are turning into those they despise...

I think a majority of my negative votes under my username come from mentioning something similar a few weeks ago. Salah was the best player in the league after Christmas. He was one of the best players in the world after Christmas. Maybe he'll be a one season wonder, but even then it was one hell of a season.

Didn't know where to post this so thought I would use yesterdays thread -

After a heated World Cup match, the stands are usually left with food waste, cups and wrappers scattered in the heat of the moment.

Japanese fans certainly had reason to go wild on Tuesday night. Their side won their opening game, beating Colombia 2-1, and securing the team's first victory against a South American side.

But after the team swept Colombia off the pitch, Japanese fans also did their share of sweeping: meticulously cleaning up their rows and seats in the stadium.

Who will be the first Russian player to fail a drugs test??

I don't get all the fawning over Russia by the media last night, going on about them setting new records for best start to a competition. They seem to forget they also had possibly the two easiest opening fixtures in World Cup history!
Round two, where they are likely to face Spain/Portugal will be where they are really tested (and the legitimacy of the refereeing!)

RAWK was very subdued in their MoSalah thread (in relation to last nights Egypt/Russia match)

Rightly concerned ...

Good sign, his arm was grabbed on his injured side and he was dragged to the ground. Didn't wince, react or stay down at all to it.

Maybe memories of Istanbul ?

No one comes back from 3 goals. No one.

Not sure of the relevance of that.
If i dont like a thread, i dont read it, I dont call for its abolition because others might enjoy it.
Its quite simple.

Someone alluded to 'it' and it wasn't me

But I was in the world cup thread which had partially turned into something similar...I didn't know it was gonna have posts being glad about Salah getting knocked out the world cup cos he plays for Liverpool...in fact it's counter intuitive, surely it'd be better if he had a long tournament and was knackered next season?

But the world cup threads are very shortlived...no one gives a crap what gets posted in them, apart from you.

I want Harry to score more than him, so the quicker he's out of the comp the better.
Plus im not convinced his purple patch will continue, Im not calling him a one season wonder but he was very much an unknown quantity who just happened to have the season of his life...he's never come close to getting those sort of numbers before, and i doubt he'll hit those heights again.

Harry does it every year.
