Interesting Salvio is playing for Argentina now. He was one of the first players Poch wanted to sign for us but he got a really bad injury so we didn’t sign him.

Looked accidental to me
The first that clipped the ankle looked accidental, the swiping follow through that didn't properly connect was not.

Can't believe this half ends goalless. What was Rebic thinking at the end?

Is Rebic an actual footballer or a bouncer? He’s just fluffed the best opportunity of the game about 4 different ways.

Can't believe this half ended without a red.

Best game that I've managed to see so far, hope the second half has more goals than fouls.

Strangely entertaining game. The football hasn't been the best, despite both teams trying to play, but there have been some great opportunities wasted and there is a bit of niggle going on too, both on the pitch and in the dugouts, which means you cant take your eyes off it as you feel it might erupt at any moment.

Argentina's shape and how it changes is quite interesting to watch at times - Mascherano dropping in to defence, with Otamendi going right and then the whole right side of the team shifting forward - but on the whole feels a bit negative and needs a bit more spark in the centre of the pitch. And they've really struggled to get Messi involved in that half, when the last game they were trying to find him at every opportunity.

Argentina wide open, if Croatia play the right ball down the channels.

Sampaoli has the classic haunted look of an England manager who knows it’s all close crashing down around him.
