He doesnt celebrate with his team. Crys like a fucking bitch when he doesnt get his way. Goes overboard celebrating his goals. Twat.
Also, gives little (no) credit for goals laid on a plate, and stands expectantly awaiting praise for his assists...

The epitomy of an arse.

Portugal are going to have to score at hat-full against Ghana - let's face it, they're out - so that game is going to be crazy open. I think Ghana will win.

If the US are super defensively drilled for their game and press the germans they could squeeze a draw.

Fascinating couple of games, so many permutations.

What a WC ffs! Fantastic.

Why are they going to have to score a hatful ? USA only have a +1 GD ?

Eder strikes me as a Portuguese Emily Heskey... awful, awful touch. He may even be worse.
At least when they had Nuno Gomes there was a threat.. as said above Portugal have sod all in terms of strikers

Emily Heskey? Does she play for the Emirates Bitches?

What on earth are you talking about?

They do have elite talent but they don't have an elite team - and there is a world of difference. Yes they can up the tempo but its not the norm for their play...its actually done quite sparingly.

To say they would beat Ghana, Portugal or the USA comfortably is rubbish with all due respect. Have you been watching these games at all?

I've been watching the entire tournament. I just happen to disagree with you regarding Belgium. I've watched them play a lot and they'll be very difficult to beat in the knockout stages. They've typically been much better than they showed in their game today. I suspect we'll see them pick it up against SK and move on from there once Wilmots settles on a starting XI.

Beyond that, Portugal is decimated with injuries. They have no real striker who can score, and Ronaldo is injured. It's immaterial, as they will not advance due to goal differential, but Belgium would be heavily favored to beat them as they are currently constituted. Ghana is a tougher proposition, but they play very open and would potentially get caught repeatedly on the counter with Hazard and Mertens.

Nevertheless, my initial point was specifically about Belgium moving on comfortably to the quarters was predicated on them facing the United States, who is a good match-up for Belgium. I watched a Belgium team without Courtois, Hazard, and Witsel come to the US last year at this team and completely outplay the United States. The US also had Altidore in that game, but was missing Bradley. Still, Belgium pushed the pace and broke down the United States repeatedly.

We'll see what happens going forward.

Was hoping to see Ronaldo in tears. Prick.

US need to learn to be more pragmatic, ball in the corner and keep it there. Not convinced by Bradley so far, was expecting more from him. Been impressed with the US as a team though, lot of heart and tactically great.

Bradley caused the 2nd goal and shouldve laid off better during a 5v2 break away, terrible player no vision.

It's totally true.

CL Final that United lost to Barca, not the one in Wembley.
CL Final v Chelsea, he scored but did fuck all else.
CL Final this season, scored a pen when the game was done with, barely involved at all apart from that.
Semi final of CL vs Ac Milan. Kaka showed him how to win a semi final on your own, Ronaldo was barely involved.
World Cup 2010, don't even remember him doing anything if note, were Portugal even in it?!

They're just ones I can think of off the top of my head.

He scored a hatrick in the play off to get to Brazil, but that was when it was him vs Zlatan. It wasn't about Portugal. It was about Ronaldo. It's always about Ronaldo.

He's a great player, one of the best ever and he is better than. Messi this season, but Messi has scored in Champions League finals when it mattered, scored hatricks vs Real Madrid and he's scored two sensational goals so far in this World Cup.

There have been plenty of occasions when he has delivered for his teams.

If people don't like him fine but don't pick and choose matches that he didn't get a 9/10 as evidence that he isn't a big game player.

As for Messi scoring goals when it mattered, since when was scoring in a Champions League final irrelevant?

Made more passes than anyone else for Algeria tonight.
Exactly. Usually when young players come in and make an instant impact, they're strikers with amazing physical skills. But Bentaleb plays a very technical position, rather than a flashy one, which makes it more impressive.

The only downside was the Algerian fans over here honking their horns until about 5 in the morning (I live in France). Hell of a lot more noise than when the French won! I guess at least those living in England are spared any all-night celebrations
