I have said it before that midfield is our biggest area of concern......both defensively and offensively they do a piss poor job.
We need to sell seven and replace them with 3 or 4 quality players..that alone would take this team to another level.
Paulinho is just another version of Jermaine Jenas and unfortunately we paid £17m for the pleasure.
In fact I think Jenas was a better player.

If we played a 433 I think we have the makings of a pretty good midfield. In the early days Jenas would have been brilliant in a 433. The problem is trying to get players that aren't really suited to a CM2 - and very few actually are - especially if they have a bunch of lazy amoebic wankers round them like Lennon, Defoe, Pav etc. Even the very best busy ****s would struggle to play a CM2 with some of the lazy half witted pricks Jenas was asked to play it with. Even Roben works harder for the team than them and he's got DeJong busying for him.

Pochettino is a 4231 man, so it will be interesting to see who flourishes, but he will insist on a more vigorous high tempo approach so Paulinho may find the going getting even tougher.
