So what do we reckon fellas, will Yogi and Jurgen take a vow of solidarity ? Will diplomacy prevail ?

Should we all be staking our houses on a facile draw ? Or will Germany do the honourable thing and try to win ?

I'm going to be more than a little disappointed if Germany don't come out and try to smash the back door of the Yanks undeserved qualification. Ghana were all over the USA like a rash only for the yanks to bootleg the points. Ghana deserve the place in the round of 16 based on performances so far. Hope this WC continues to deliver the drama.

I want Portugal out, I don't care how it happens.

I would also like to see Jurgen do well, so it's USA for me.

And as for the Germans; I've got huge respect for the progressive, fresh approach they invested in years ago with their youth. If and when they can turn on the afterburners, they could blitz the rest of the tourney. And yes, pun intended. ;)

Mostly this. It would possibly be more deserved if Ghana go through, but if Portugal win and Germany and USA play out a goalless chanceless abortion of a draw I'll still be happy.

Well Muntari's a ****. He should have been sent off twice this world cup.

Also, an African FA not paying players. Color me shocked:rolleyes:

Surely there are no bonuses to pay yet seeing as they aren't through to the next round??

Muntari is suspended for tonight's game anyway, so kicking out of squad isn't going to be a problem.
As for Boateng, well we know full well he can be a bit of an arrogant cock...

Both sides are going to go for it as they want to win, at least thats what they are saying publicly. Im still holding out hope they agreed to play an abortion of a game to both go through, though. If they are actully both playing for a win, we're fucked, IMO.

Honestly depends on the CBA with the FA wrt bonuses. Some FA's pay bonuses just for being named in the squad, competitive or friendly's. They add more if the result was a draw and even more if the result was a win.

Who started the youth infusion into the German squad? Our very own Jurgen Klinsmann, the same guy who coaches the US.

The us/germany game might not happen. The pitch is probably waterlogged but no one can even go check as recife is under at least 2 feet of water.
