Please tell me this isn't the Behrami that's been linked to replace Capoue

Underwhelmed so far with the Swiss. They'll have to up their game in the second half if they want to win this.

Expected more from the Swiss than this, but it is only their 1st 45 mins of the tournament

Ecuador playing better than most expected so far.
Glad you said most and not all or everyone,as you would have to be quite naive to think any South American nation will simply roll over at a world cup based in South America.Same thing happened with South Africa I imagine they gain atleast 10% extra in adrenaline and drive to perform with strong fan support.Naturally as the tourney progresses in most cases overall ability or quality should shine through.Early doors though ie the groups I would not be so dismissive of any South American nation.Sorry not a rant or anything guess I just enjoy watching bigger nations being humbled if they dismiss so called lesser nations so readily.

Regardless of the game being much better known and documented now and not to many player's will be as unknown as years gone by.But there is a reason why no one outside of South America has ever lifted the cup (when held in South America) that come from outside of the region. That's why I look forward to the German's,Dutch and Belgium they offer a strong opportunity for Europe to succeed imo.Either way I am enjoying the world cup lots of attacking play so far and long may it continue anyone going down the defensive route I hope get their collective arse's paddled.

I must've been in the kitchen. What stupid shit has he said now?
Don't recall exactly what he was saying as tend to try not listening to the comms and enjoy the footy and the fans ie the atmosphere they create. But Matterface asked a question and somehow Carlisle waffled about Jackson Martinez being a great option for Ecuador.

I predicted the half-time score and the scorer.

I can see Ecuador winning this by a one goal margin although I also expect Drmic to score at some point.
