Yeah but what players do this? They study their game in England and think it's the best league in the world... Get paid shed loads and what. World class players can play in any league. In that respect Roy has a lot more experience.
I agree, the players should be looking to gain oversea's experience to. Problem is EPL is so rich that foreign teams can't afford them, as they aren't good enough to justify the wages of fee's and EPL managers don't want they to go outside of England on loan.

I think the person for the England Job is Redknapp on the proviso he's not allowed to select any of the old boys club.

England players never look like they enjoy playing for England they pay like they have the weight of the world on their shoulders and also have damned if they do damned if they don't battle with the press, i think Redknapp would be the right person to get them enjoying football for their country and win the press battle with G. Neville as no.2.

Will never happen as long as Brooking has a say in things though.

Unfortunately you can only work with the tools at your disposal and England is chock full of tools, i'd struggle to name a solid squad, however as other teams are showing a team with a large dose of heart and desire man for man can overcome a team of talented individuals.

Hart

Johnson
Cahill
Terry
Cole

Barry
Barkley

Lallana
Rooney
Sterling

Sturridge

The thing is had Woy taken Cole instead of Shaw, he could well of picked him tonight.

Absolute nonsense on so many levels.

The Spain thing doesn't add up because their 3 top teams are bursting with Spanish players and the foreign ones are literally the best in the world in their positions. The Italian league has even fewer foreigners playing. Only Inter play with more than 3 in their team on average. Don't get me started on the German league.

It's such a simple argument. If you have a bigger pool of players to pick from then you will get better options to play. It's not rocket science. Also the coaching in this country has easily been the equal of the other countries for a good decade now so it's clearly not that either. It's down to pure numbers.

Here may be some amazing gems to pick from but we may never know because they will never get a chance of an extended run in the top league of their country.

Of course I will never be proven right as turkey's don't vote for Xmas in the same way chairmen don't want to lose the massive income generated from overseas sales. And of course they want to see their players on telly too.

The argument as to why a nation with such a small population can beat us is because all their elite players play in a top league. Even if it is in Uruguay. I bet the amount of elite players actually playing in top leagues is not far off if not higher than what Woy has to choose from.

Yet every couple if years people like yourself seem genuinely shocked when we can't cobble together a decent team to play high level international football.

The years when we didn't qualify that were mentioned were simply because the tournaments were different and only had 8 to 16 teams in it. Not like the 32 nowadays. And qualifying wasn't beating San Marino and Montenegro a couple of times ( even though we failed to that...).It's all pretty simple and explanatory. I'm not making this up.

Last point. Uraguayans are football mad. That is their only sport. We have international class teams in cricket, rugby, cycling, athletics, gymnastics' rowing, boxing...I could literally go on and on but I think you get the idea.

I get the idea you haven't the faintest clue what you are talking about and none of your theory is actually backed up by any facts. What about the other teams in Spain like Atletico (chap ions) or Sevilla (Eurpa winners) ? And you conveniently ignored Italy, or how about Portugal, France or Germany or Holland or Belgium ? Their quota systems are in some cases less stringent than England's, have much smaller populations competing with their imports, yet they continually manage to produce decent footballers and footballing international teams. Uraguay not playing Cricket or water polo doesn't explain how a nation with a population a quarter of London's manages to beat England. It is about an endemic ethos that was laid down by wankers like Charles Hughes and adopted by the litany of poorly educated dimwits who largely frequented football for decades. Anyone who read the Guardian or used a fucking clip board, or took notes was deemed not to be trusted, complicating a simple(tons) game.

This attitude didn't prevail in other countries where intelligence was valued not just physicality and stamina.

Yes, things have changed in English coaching in the last 10 years, and we are seeing the evidence of this now. Not some xenophobic bollocks about how it's all johnny foreigner's fault.

Have we been drinking bus conductor?

I believe I did address almost all the points you mashed down in your post. Its not xenophobic to want the England team to do well. But if that's how you wish to address my perfectly valid and reasonable points then you have to understand how little of a fuck that bothers me.

Suarez:
"Before the game too many people in England laughed about my attitude over the last few years.

"This is a very good time for me. I want to see what they think now."

No change, Luis. You're still a lying, cheating, racist, cannibalistic scumbug ****.

There's very little valid or reasonable about your points. That is the point.

I hate to stop you in your tracks but you are chatting shit,
here is the Real Madrid starting 11:
Benzema
Ronaldo --------------- Bale
Di Maria
Modric ----- Alonso
Marcelo -- Pepe --- Ramos -- Carvajal
Lopez
Only two of them were in the spanish world cup squad, barcelona first 11:
Messi
Neymar --------------- Sanchez
Iniesta --- Xavi
Busquets
Alba -- Pique --- Mascherano -- Alves
Valdes
They did have 5 players from their starting 11 go with Pedro and Fabreags. Heres Atletico Madrid starting 11
Costa ---- Villa
Koke --------------- Turan
Tiago --- Gabi
Luis Felipe -- Godin --- Miranda -- Juanfran
Courtois
Only 3 went and one of them got an appearance.

Now lets look at the italian top 3 teams. Juve:
Tevez Llorente

Pogba Pirlo Vidal
Asamoah --------------------------- Lichsteiner
Cheillini Bonucci Barzagli
Buffon
5 of the starting 11 but only 4 have played. Roma:
Totti
Florenzi --------------- Gervinho
Strootman --- Pjanic
De Rossi
Dodo -- Castan --- Benatia -- Maicon
De Sanctis
Only one person from the whole squad made the cut, de rossi of course. Finally Napoli also only had one player from their whole squad there and he isn't a starter for the National team. Inter play more than 3 on average? Their most played starting 11 is this
Palacio
Kovacic
Taider Cambiasso Guarin
Nagatoma --------------------------- Jonathan
Jesus Ranocchia Rolando
Handovic
Only one italian in the team line up! Ranocchia was the only one in the national team, worth noting just because they have italian citizenship doesnt make them italian.
