Oi, fuck off. I'm the match-thread maker now.

I'll let you off this time.

You may have to do Wednesday's as I may not be around again. Besides, it's more important that the thread gets posted, than who posts it, right? ;)

And you don't have to be rude. It's jolly well not very nice, old chap. :pompous:

You took me seriously? Sorry if you were offended (or is this reverse- sarcasm?)

Of course it doesn't matter.......

But I can do the one for the final, right? :p:D

As a ref nerd there is something fascinating going on this evening. The second SF ref has not been announced yet when it should have been. Lots of rumors that it will be the Japanese ref from the opening match. Would be quite a statement from FIFA saying that one mistake does not ruin the career of the guy who has been the best Asian ref over the past 4 to 6 years.

Should Brazil, and thus Paulinho, win and make it to the final. I am curious when the last time a Spurs player played in a World Cup final? If I remember correctly VDV joined us just after his WC final appearance..

I don't think we ever have. Ardiles joined post 1978 final as well.

In that case, expect Paulinho to get sent off when they're 3 up.

Not that Brazil will win.

The only reason I'd want Brazil to win would be so that Argentina could beat them in the final. Largely for my own amusement.
