The excuses being made for Brazil being poor by the commentary team make me want to vomit.

Clark Carlisle on whether Scolari had enough resources:
"No I don't think so, He's had a whole country"

7 passes so far. Lowest on the Brazil team.

It's because Paulinho doesn't bother to get himself in any space in the middle of the pitch. He walks around rather than jogging in to space and invariably there's a dutch defender within a metre of him so his team mates don't pass to him.

I've seen him make some great runs and show for the ball only for his teas maids team mates to make totally the wrong option and balls up a decent scoring opportunity.

I actually think Scolari has completely lost his marbles. There is no way that Paulinho should be starting before Hernanes or Fernandinho. The game just passes him by, or he lets it pass him by. Has little effect defensively and doesn't contribute too much in attack either besides the odd goal.

You mean the Fernandinho single handedly responsible for 3 of the 5 first half goals Germany scored last game? That Fernandinho?

Fernandinho was worse than Paulinho apart from his first substitute appearance. He really has been absolute dogshite of the highest order.

You're probably right about Hernanes though.

Yes in the final third, I agree he's made a few decent runs. But when the ball is transitioning from the back, he looks like he just can't be arsed.
