All this talk of a new stadium got me thinking about all the wonderful stadia in the world, so, how about a thread to share some pics, interesting facts, and personal accounts of the amazing stadia (or future plans for them) around the world.

My current fave is the amazing Allianz Arena

And the plans for Valencia to move from this..........

Although, strictly speaking, not a football stadium I have to say that I am a big fan of the "Bird's Nest" Olympic stadium in Beijing.

Also, although I hate to say it, by English standards Arseburton Grice is quite impressive (I had to go there for a concert so fortunately have not been forced to watch Le Arse play there).

Yes, the Bernabau has to be the best for proximity to the pitch and feeling on top of the action, great call....

Check this out......Wulihe Stadium......

To be replaced with "Soccer City Stadium" for WC 2010...

For me the Allianz arena is amazing, I love the fact that entire outside of it can change colour and inside it's just as impressive. For originality it's gotta go to the bird's nest in beijing.

Valenica's new one also looks cool.......I'm just praying that we get some sort of innovative design like these and like Liverpool's new ground as well - whenever that gets the go ahead.

Bernebeu or Dortmund style would be pretty awesome, imagine having a "wall" like Dortmund (apart from they get to stand)! The Hamburg/Allianz look sweet also.

Lets get some Germans on the job.

If will go nuts if its another identikit.

Lyon's new stadium - outrageous. Looks like it could take off and return to its home planet at any moment.

The new Liverpool stadium looks pretty ugly.

The Stadio Artemio Franchi home of Fiorentine a good example of reinforced conrete 20 century architecture built before the war.
Architecturally interesting if you enjoy that kind of thing no roof and not really much of a stadium but what a great backdrop.
Sorry don't know how to post a picture but heres a google earth link
