I'm not sure there is a thread like this and if there is please feel free to merge but it seems that Real Madrid have just released their plans for new stadium refurb with a 360 degree screen. Got me thinking about some of the other pioneering football stadiums.

Also seen this and thought it looked impressive

I loved plough lane! Sad memory though, was we were there on the day of Hillsborough. Remember the announcer at Wimbledon at H/T said that the FA cup semi final at Hillsborough had been abandoned due to Liverpool supporters on the pitch....we assumed the Scousers were kicking off again.

I mean, architecturally it's a cool design for a stadium, especially as far as Olympic venues go, but it's a terrible place to watch a football match IMO.

I don't understand this obsession with having some sort of weird architectural feature like that. Bit like that arch thing at Wembley, it serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever but presumably costs loads extra to build vs. just making the roof the same all the way round.
