Mousa Dembele returned to full training, but struggled with pain. Having had a day of rest, Dembele was able to take part but an ankle issue meant he suffered pain during the session.

Really? Can we please stop pointless mid season friendlies? Actually I wouldn't mind if there are no international friendlies at all.

internationals are a 2 edge sword in one way it is great to see the 4 lads do so well for England and i am sure they get a great boast from that game , but then on the other side we get what happens with Mousa, a injury that can effect the rest of his season and a major player in our team.

Mousa should know to sit out training if he's not 100%.

We are his mainstay and he's likely to make the squad anyway.

@Gaz_Gammon

Not sure why this got a doh rating? It is just my opinion and I have literally no inclination to watch any of them.

I do not give a toss if international competitive matches suffer as a result. I have not enjoyed a major tournament since 98 in any case, I don't believe this is down to England either.

If this is true it will cost us the league (if we ever really had a chance of catching Leicester anyway). He's that important to us, especially against in the upcoming Pool, Man U and Chelski games. Oh well, I'll happily take 2nd to this freakish, one-off Leicester side! Not that I'm bitter of course, but f**k them!

Do you moan when whatever international team you support fails at tournaments?

I am English and no I don't, as I simply don't care anymore. I'd be quite happy for every int team to be limited to just playing qualifiers and tournament football. Particularly when you have a world cup about to screw up the schedules because the bastards agreed to have a summer competition in the winter.

I quite enjoyed that "pointless" friendly last night.

That is fair enough, if others get enjoyment fine but I just see them as waste of time. Particularly when players pull out of the games injured and then most of the time are fine for their clubs.

Just my opinion.

Maybe, just maybe, you're not bothered because the lack of friendlies over the years has led to poor performances which has led to lack of interest....
I'd be interested to see which teams play the most friendlies vs success rates.

There it is! I knew there'd be a drama queen post catastrophising everything and you didn't disappoint. :)
