White Hart Lane because it's our ground. Wembley would be good for attendance figures but it wouldn't be the true story.

I believe if we are to evolve as a club and play with the big boys, we have to get rid of the "small club" mentality.

Why play a qualifying match at Wembley as if its our "cup final" and we wont be progressing further?

Part of the romance of this cup is to compete with these teams with the view of battering them on our turf!!

I don't think it would be a small club mentality as the reason, simply making as much money as possible.

The first couple of cup games for a season ticket holder at WHL are free so we would make nothing from a qualifier played at WHL. If the qualifier was played at Wembley they could sell an extra 40,000 tickets.
Also at WHL a game against Barcelona (if we get to the group stage) wouldn't make much more than a game against Stoke as we pretty much sell out all the time (with a slight difference in cost between the different categories).
But at Wembley they could increase the seat price due to a different stadium as well as sell 80,000 tickets.

Unfortunately football is now all about money and if we wanted 4th place so much in order to generate the prestige and financial clout to compete with the big boys then we should also accept playing at Wembley may be a necessary evil to do this.

wembley is an awful stadium. i've been in all tiers including club and everything is too far from the pitch. rubbish atmosphere, too much space, shocking pitch.

i can't believe a thread was made about this; WHL no question.

My head completely gets your gist D, it really does. But my heart says fuck it, lets get the ****'s down the lane, pack it like a sardine can, switch the magic euro midweek floodlights on, make some fucking noise, kiss goodbye to a couple of million smelladeenies and scare some victories out of those RealInterSportingSpartakACDynamo-ing motherfuckers.

Can't we just slant the advertising boards at a slight angle, a bit like this: ¦\

It would still look bigger from most camera angles. In fact their peculiarity may draw even more attention

WHL.

Weird. A mate of mine rung me yesterday and said he'd heard we were considering using Wembley with CL 'season' tickets being put on offer. I just told him to fuckoff back to Jackanory and changed the subject. I might have to ask him if he 'heard' it as in someone ITK told him or he just read it on some forum or another.

Wasn't there a thread ages ago about how the advertising boards around the edge of the pitch had to be X amount bigger than for Europa League games and that we'd lose the first 2 or 3 rows of seats around the pitch?

If true, ya gotta love these daft rules eh?

White Hart Lane all the way. The atmosphere at the Lane on a wednesday night will be unbeatable, we would probably lose that at Wembley.

Financially yes, Wembley would make cents (Sense!!). But I am old fashion so my heart would go for the Glory of winning at home as oppose to any financial advantage!
