While it does seem like this time is different, I'm wary of this power-shift talk. People were saying the same in the Jol, Harry and AVB years and look how that worked out.

Let's talk about the power shift after it's actually happened.

Lets define power shift. Finish above arsenal? Finish above Chelsea? Win the league? Speaking of which..is there a name for the day Arsenal can no longer finish above Spurs?

Oh no. 2nd time I've heard this mentioned today. A spurs fan accidentally let it slip out on TS.
No hope of finishing above the scum now :(

PS. This post is tongue in cheek and should not be taken literally. Thank you ;)

He comes out with the same shit all the time. Just another paranoid gooner
What's not to like about Ian Wright? I liked him even when he was banging them in for our dear rivals. He's friendly and honest, and that's all you need really,

For me the power will have shifted when we finish above them in successive seasons and inhabit a bigger stadium -- couple of years then.

We are still a fair way behind Arsenal, they're wage budget trumps ours and you have to say that they can attract players that we can only dream of. They're just being held back by their board and their manager and they really do have a small time mentality as a club.

But we are doing all the right things now to take advantage of that, getting the stadium up is key to our progress, we have the right manager, backroom staff and chairman in place and trusting in youth will pay dividens because it means we aren't spending money.

Not sure about power shift but our future is bright.

Potentially finishing above them for the first time in decades isn't really a power shift.
Let's review in 5 years and see how things stand.

Yeah this is nonsense. For years its been bigged up a power shift, when we got CL, when Bale was beating everyone by himself. Let's wait and see how the season finishes first, then see if we can continue this form next season. I would love to do one thing though, win the CL before they did, would be the best thing ever. All those years they tried but we do it after a handful of attempts, would be brilliant.

Arsenal clearly have a mental strength problem, if by some act of god we won the league the power shift would be clear.

I can remember him saying it when Redknapp was in charge and I can remember him saying it when AVB is charge so its not like this is the first time he has said it. And nothing has come of it. when we consistently finish above them it can be called a power shift at the moment we are just having a good season and we are closing the gap on them.
