That was my reaction too. I was so surprised, but after doing a bit of research I realised Vicente isn't half the player he once was. Still surprised Brighton was the best he could get though, geographically as well.

Wow, surprised someone like Malaga didn't take him. Great signing for Poyet! Whether he will get many games out of him though will be interesting!

A player in the twilight of his career leaving sunny Spain to go and play in... well...Brighton? :shrug:

I just thought he'd be more inclined to stay in Spain or head to Italy or something, it just seems like a strange move to me.

Up to 2 years ago I'd have been really excited if we signed him.
He's not that old so he possibly could recapture some of hisform.
