Not sure Saints are "struggling" exactly, given that they're 2nd.

Falque was again not even on the bench tonight, in a cup game they weren't particularly fussed about winning. These are not promising signs...
Pay a bit more attention, their recent form has been poor and only won once in their last six.

They've only won two league games since the beginning of December.

He came on as a sub against Cheltenham so was therefore cup tied.
All these people writing him off unbelieveable!

There it is. I am sure the Saints fans were reasonably impressed by his first appearance.

Living in Southampton, I'm aware of that.

They're still second, and have been without several of their best players.

No, just the language. Using different words gives different sentences different meanings.

You're being more than a little petulant now.

The same word can convey different meanings. "Struggling" in this instance. I would not consider a team in an automatic promotion place to be "struggling", because for me "struggling" conveys the idea of someone in trouble. You, thinking more short-term, think of a team on a losing run, however successful ultimately, as "struggling".

The disagreement has arisen because the word has conveyed different meanings to each of us, which is, as I said, and by definition - semantics.

Once again he's not even on the bench.

Saints have great yoot development, so I'm sure he's benefiting from the loan anyway - but this is hardly encouraging.

If they want to blood their own instead of one of ours, then I fully understand that. Bring him back to train with our squad at least though. Waste of time sending him to train elswhere.

Hopefully he has a knock or something. Really can't imagine he'd just be dropped from the squad after having a decent first game

I dunno, is it? Saints youth set up has produced some pretty classy acts in recent times. Is he any worse of training there than at WHL? And he's more likely to get the odd game there I would have thought - he's got zero chance of playing with us atm.

On the other side of the coin, at WHL he'd be training alongside some incredible footballing role models in Modders, VDV, Lennon, Bale etc. That might benefit him a bit I guess.

But on balance, I can't see any harm in him spending the rest of the season at Saints even if he's not playing.

Although it does mean he has to live and play in Southampton... Tottenham was still a classier and more pleasant place than Southampton even when the High Street was on fire.

Valid points. A bit of a quieter place to get used to the country, language etc and the odd game potentially now that we're quickly reaching the big boy stages of the FA cup.

But yes, training with our squad was primarily the reason. Get him used to our players, our style of play etc.

Also, Southampton, yrs sine I've been there. Can't remember much about it. Went bowling in Portsmouth nice too. I have fonder memories of Pompey as during the walk back to the carfrom the blowling alley, we assed a group of barely dresed, pissed up "young ladies". A most pleasant eyeful.

But I digress.....
