The Sunday People reckon the Premier League rivals could battle for the 19-year-old striker.
The Ligue 1 outfit rate the France U21 star at around £9m.
Both Spurs and the Gunners have sent spies to watch him in action.
They could face serious competition for his signature, though.
Inter Milan and Fiorentina are also keen.
It's suggested offers have been submitted, but they're yet to exceed £3.8m.
To be fair offering 3m for a 9m rated player does sound like us...That just sums up the Mirror article. And it is not suggested there is an offer from us.
Or to constantly defend him even when he's worthy of criticism? Somekind of middle ground would give a more balanced approach I guess, mate. Surely the needs of the manager and team are the priority, Nightgoat? Surely as FOOTBALL supporters we all want to see the team and squad improve; the manager supported? When Levy serves those needs, I think he should be praised to the hilt; but when he fails to do so, I don't think he should be immune to criticism. As for Karamoh, I don't think we've had any ITK on the lad, but I think he looks a special talent. If Poch were interested in him, I'd love to see Levy take punt on him. It could be a really astute signing.
According to most credible reports:Has one year left on his contract according to tranfermarkt
On a side note, so do the following among the likes of Sanchez, Ozil, Iniesta etc.
- Isco, AM, 25, R Madrid,
- Jose Gimenez, CB, 22, At Madrid
- Stefan de Vrij, CB, 25, Lazio
- Keita Balde, LW, 22, Lazio
- Ross Barkley, AM, 23, Everton (obvs)
- Leon Goretzka, CM, 22, Schalke
- Max Meyer, AM, 21, Schalke
- Luan, ST, 24, Gremio

Nothing at all, mate. All there is is one link in the Mirror saying we're 'keeping tabs on' him, no one has any evidence that we've made contact or that Levy is trying to lowball Caen, but as that is the easy stereotype that's what gets trotted out. 'Oh, fucking Levy, offering them 2p installments. Just give them whatever they want.'
What about this particular transfer link do you think warrants criticism of Levy?
I hate to break it to you but numerous clubs have been better than us in the transfer market. In England you have Southampton. In Europe - Monaco, Roma, Athletico Madrid, Porto, Dortmund - these are just the obvious clubs and arguably only Athletico have greater financial resources.
I don't want to be pedantic but I listed what I said were the obvious examples, I didn't suggest it was an exhaustive list of 5 clubs and I didn't include Benfica. I didn't list clubs like Palermo who in the period where we bought Bale and Dele have bought and sold Cavani, Pastore and Dybala. There are many clubs across Europe who have done better than us in no small part because they have bought more young players. You say numerous clubs and list, what 5 european clubs!! Wow 5 other clubs in the whole of Europe and you're disappointed in our transfer strategies for young talent, two of those being Benfica and Porto who have no issues with South American youth which gives them a big pool of talent to go after! Thus backing up my point. I suggested we are the best in the Premier League at buying young talent, I wouldn't say Southampton have bought any young players into there team via transfer that surpass Dele or Dier. Care to educate me?
We have bought in two of the worlds most expensive players in Bale and Dele, don't just easily ignore that. That's pretty amazing scouting and implementation.
I think that in part, the criticism about our young players recruitment has some valid points
Not because other teams fared better than us, but because of how we've missed out on several players because we didn't want to pay over the odds or didn't treat them properly
I understand doing it in deals over 20m with established players, but with young players, where the difference may be only 500k/1m is bad management.
That's where we are failing imo. It's not the scouting, but the deal making. We are always linked with very good young players. We have a good scouting team. That's not the problem
The Ousmane Dembele failed deal where we wanted him to do a trial first, was just too stupid for a club of our level.

As to Southampton, on current market values Van Dijk is worth more than Dier. Add to this a list that includes Mane, Schneiderlin, Clyne.
You can keep arguing with me but the facts speak for themselves we barely sign any players these days and of those we do only a small percentage are young prospects. Gone are the days where we bought the likes of Lennon or Walker domestically or a Sandro internationally. Where we have bought young players they have been flops like Njie or Janssen.
Only because articles with no substance keep stating the same old thing for click bait which others then feed off and use to show that DL is up to his old tricks again. To be fair offering 3m for a 9m rated player does sound like us...
I think Tottenham Hotspur are at a unique period in time, the fruits of our labour (development players) are at that plucking stage and we must be careful not to mess it all up...the transition between the development player to the first team is the most difficult, if we get it right now we are going to be much better off. This gateway is critical for us and what we've invested with the lodge.
I always remember we were massively linked Conner Wicker when he was at Ipswich, and there was talk about Harry Kane being loaned out with question marks about his pace. We made the right decision not get Connor Wicker as it would of blocked Kane's path imo , now we are benefiting greatly.
I'm sure there's other examples with different outcome. I just remember my thoughts at the time hoping we at least gave our own a chance first.
