I think he probably wanted to leave, for whatever reason, and tasked his agent with finding a good reason for wanting to leave (cause let's face it, unless he forces a move, people wont be able to afford him). Problem being that the birthday excuse is a terrible one
They basically said the reason he doesnt want to be at city is because he feels under appreciated. Which is true and he has said this before but no one gave a shit. The thing is the birthday excuse was taken way out of proportion by the media.

He basically has said that if he was a more exotic name or perhaps not african he would be the player of the year and etc.
He has said that liverpool treat Suarez like a king whereas he has also carried city at times and has no appreciation from the club(not the fans)
Also apparently it was his birthday and nobody at the club knew and when Nasri told the club its his birthday they gave him a cake but that cake was for city becoming champions
Pfa player of the year he carried city to pl title and yet finished behind Hazard(who was good but not on yaya's level)
Then like Gerrard hasn't been Liverpools best midfielder yet he has been getting all the plaudits this season

Yaya's stats are up there with the best and the fact he has been struggling with injuries makes it even more better

But PFA player of the year is not within the clubs power to award.

Liverpool is a media love in, its sickening.

If you look at things nobody is really talking about City winning the premier league, the silence is deafening.

Is this because City are new money?

Who knows, but it is very strange that Man Utd, Liverpool even ourselves seem to get more coverage than City.

I know but he feels undervalued as well by the media and how his achievements are overlooked

Yes, and I was trying to address this in my following points.

Its not really the club's fault if the media don't give him the plaudits he thinks he deserves.

City as a club are not getting the plaudits

true but then the club has made him like a valued member of staff

say like Suarez with Liverpool
Hazard with Chelsea(who hasn't achieved half as much)
Bale with us, fucking hell we were milking that cow at the end of his last season with stuff off the pitch as well

He needs to grow the fuck up
I am going by memory hear of something I wasn't watching but the journos were right that he had a point. I happened to agree with them because it made sense. If he leaves and is on the same contract or lower surely then fair play

If he's so insecure and desperate for adulation he should take the gigantic riches he's earned from being so terribly undervalued and start his own cult religion, with himself as the deity. Poor little lamb.

He can feel miserable, unappreciated and undervalued all the way to bank.

Not much sympathy from me.

Maybe as part of a condition of getting a ticket for the etihad maybe all supporters should have to bow at his feet upon entry.

I imagine he's involved in charity work in Africa, with people who've had genuinely terrible lives, clearly learnt nothing from it. Personally I wouldn't give him the time of day

He's playing the game. Fair enough. He is a result of modern football.
