Here's a quote from that article: "Now that he’s playing in Premier League games at Sunderland, Yedlin said he feels like everything is starting to fall into place. Spurs coaches have kept in touch with him, and he’s looking forward to playing the rest of the season with Sunderland, then returning to Spurs and competing for a spot in the team."For clarification, here is the original artice that FoxSports took this and spun it from:

I tried to change it, I can change everything else but not the headline. A mod will have to change it.For clarification, here is the original artice that FoxSports took this and spun it from:

You should probably put this artice in the OP @Mullers
He wasn't blaming the club though, I don't even think the headline is that inflammatory. I look at it as a statement of fact, if you're not playing football at the club you are at, then obviously it is a roadblock.Sadly I think you might be right, Dier & Alli show that if your good enough you get game time & Kane shows that by working at your game & taking the chances you get you can get into the team, so maybe he should blame himself rather than the club.
Exactly. We're good at these types of deals. It's the big bucks ones we're a little hit and miss on. In fact, that's likely a universal thing. Regardless, these canny signings we excel at. Either they prove themselves good enough for the squad or they do well enough on loan to get a good transfer and us a tidy little profit. There's no downside as far I can tell.Agree shit article to make headlines and as usual a somewhat overreaction to this judging by some of the comments.....just what the journalist wanted.
In my opinion Yedlin was a good buy for the money and just need the experience of playing regular games in the Premiership. We loaned him out for this and Sunderland have a full back that plays consistently for them without forking out millions.
A win win for us and them. This lad will develop over time. If not we will have doubled or trebled his resale value.

He needs to be careful he is still on our books, when he returns from loan he might be training with the kids like Adebayor did.
Yedlin says a lack of playing time at Spurs effectively acted as a "roadblock" in his career.

I don't think he will ever play for us again.
Some people said when at the time that we bought him, that it was for commercial reasons.I have no idea why we even bought the kid over in the first place, as well as Trippier and Walker already on the books. Yedlin is playing like crap at the moment for Sunderland, but that may be because Sunderland are crap and he's just caught their disease.
Trippier wasn't on the books. We bought him in the summer - possibly becasue Yedlin wasn't performing as well as expected in training. Sometimes getting players works out as you hope, sometimes it doesn't. Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it?I have no idea why we even bought the kid over in the first place, as well as Trippier and Walker already on the books. We bought him because he was young and had great potential. I don't think that's changed but in his second season he needs to start showing some sign that he's adjusting to the English game. For me, Sunderland could be make or break for him if he can roll up his sleeves and get stuck into a relegation dog fight he might show he's got what it takes, but if he doesn't want to know then we should ship him out.I have no idea why we even bought the kid over in the first place, as well as Trippier and Walker already on the books.
