In fairness everyone except Panama did about just as well against “Harry, Dele, and the rest of the England boys”. So unless you’re also interested in whoever the fuck Tunisia had at CB I’m not sure you’ve got much of a point here.
Not sure the Tunisian CB was a goal threat too...

If you want me to be pedantic, I thought the combination of Mina and Sanchez worked well together and only conceded a penalty against England. They also did well in the group matches (except when they were down a man).

Happier now?

Not really. Sounds like Fabian Schar who was flavour of the month a couple years back.

Got a vague memory of pleat saying he turned us down as he wanted to play every game. Remember being impressed by it at the time.
That's what they were saying on foxestalk. They signed him because they promised him game time.

I’m genuinely puzzled as to how my description of a Colombian centre back pairing reminds you of a Swiss centreback.

It was more the fact he scored some goals and looked decent in international play causing everyone to lose their head a bit.

To be honest I don’t think very many of us have seen him as I’m not aware that many watch Brazilian or Columbian football other than Copa Libertadores (and I can’t remember him at all from that).

So we’re basically all going off of this World Cup performance and if I’m being honest if he hadn’t scored some goals I don’t think anyone would have cared and I want a CB whose defensive game shines and their set piece threat to be a bonus not the other way around.

I didn't watch much of him but when I did his distribution especially was awful.

What are Everton's finances like? They always seem to buy people for shedloads and bar Lukaku I can't think of much money coming the other way. Feel like they really need to pull a decent season out soon or things could go very Sunderland-y for them.

I'm a little bit annoyed we didn't take Alfie Mawson who just went to Fulham for £15m just a couple of weeks ago. Not world class but very very decent and good potential.

Apparently his knee is fucked - someone that posts on here, who has connections to Swansea, said so on the general transfers page (sorry can’t rememeber the posters name)

Mina looked dangerous on set pieces but Sanchez bailed him out defensively many times. I think he’d have to play in the middle of a back three somewhat like David Luiz if he’d come to Spurs.

Ohhh drama. Glad none about Spurs for this player who I think is bang average.
