With us reportedly closing in on Rodriguez, surely it rules out a move for Konopylanka, unless we're looking to offload 2 of Chadli, Lennon and Townsend.

Currently in action against FC Kobenhaven if anyone wants to watch him, been Dnipro's standout player so far. Kobenhaven are an improved outfit this season and of course Dnipro aren't playing at "home" in this first leg with the conflict...if they were to go out in this round Konoplyanka would definitely be sold. 0-0 at HT.

Can people stop resurrecting threads when there's been nothing new because it makes me all excited because I think there's possibly new info. I hate being misled :( .

Not really bothered. Quite happy to wait for Rodriguez in January and it gives Poch time to assess Lennon, Townsend and Chadli.

I'm of the stance at this point that while I'd still be delighted to see what Poch could do with Kono, that this scenario you've mentioned is what I expect will happen, and I certainly wouldn't be unhappy with it.

Still holding out hope that we're waiting until after the CL qualifiers though, and that our chances would improve if they lose as they likely will.

I don't think Kono is the player we should be looking at. We have quite a few creative players that can play in the three behind our CF now. What we need is a pacey wing forward who will run beyond our CF, and stretch opposition defences.

Without that I think we will become predictable.
